The Consumer Electronic Show 2023 is a technology fair held at the Las Vegas convention center, where technology brands exhibit their main novelties of the year.

As expected, Sony offered a preview of the upcoming Gran Turismo movie and unveiled a new PS5 kit called “Project Leonardo”, a completely new accessibility controller kit being developed for PS5.

Sony Announcements

Project Leonardo

We can say that no one expected new hardware from Sony’s PlayStation department so soon. Project Leonardo is an accessibility controller kit created to remove barriers in gaming. This way, Sony helps gamers with disabilities to be able to play games more efficiently and comfortably for more extended periods on PS5.

The result is a highly customizable controller that will be much more comfortable than the DualSense controller. In addition, all its components are interchangeable, and multiple buttons and analog stick caps in different sizes and shapes are included.

Gamers can build a controller that is adjusted to their needs and will be used in accordance with their strength, range of motion, and physical limitations.

Gran Turismo Movie

The company appears at CES 2023 to preview its upcoming live-action Gran Turismo movie. The film will hit theaters in August, starring Archie Madekwe, Orlando Bloom, and David Harbour.

It is based on the life story of Jann Mardenborough, a teenage Gran Turismo gamer. Jann’s skills in the game allowed him to win a series of racing competitions. He then went on to become a professional racing driver.

The film’s director, Neil Blomkamp, along with a great cast and a lot of camera work, manages to mimic the high-octane racing action of the games.

Sony has announced that Gran Turismo 7 will get virtual reality features when it hits stores worldwide. In addition, the virtual reality features will be available in a free update for those who own the game.

PlayStation VR2 will be released next month, and Beat Saber will also be coming to PSVR2. However, the release date is still unknown.
