The UK-based esports organisation co-owned by David Beckham Guild Esports has come together with Subway to announce their latest initiative — Subway Future Talent Series — which will let youth in London experience competitive gaming and experiment with their interest in esports.
The new grassroots initiative from GUILD and the fast-food restaurant franchise Subway will focus on “helping the next generation of gaming stars” and will offer young students from London areas such as Shoreditch, Tower Hamlets, and Islington a chance to experience the world of esports in the professional facility.
The inaugural Subway Future Talent Series will be taking place from 7-9 December in the iconic Sky Guild Gaming Centre in Shoreditch. Six gaming sessions with a focus on educating and training young gamers will be held during this time. The initiative plans to welcome 72 attendees from local schools.

“We believe in the power of community and are committed to impacting the lives of young people through our partnership with Guild. As the Official Partner of the Guild Academy, we have long been playing a role in empowering the next generation of gamers and creating the Subway Future Talent Series is a dedicated platform to inspire future gamers to follow their dreams. While their aspiration grows, we will continue to fuel them with nutritious, great-tasting food they need to reach their goals.”
Rory Moran who is the Director Of Global Partnerships at Guild Esports also commented:
“We embrace Subway’s vision to benefit the lives of young people as part of our partnership, as it aligns with our own values and beliefs on community support. The launch of this new initiative could not have come at a better time, giving an extra gift in the run up to Christmas to the school children in our area. We can’t wait to open our doors to them, witnessing young gamers developing new skills at our HQ, and all under the guidance of our experienced and highly-professional esports coaches and in-house talent. We embrace Subway’s vision to benefit the lives of young people as part of our partnership, as it aligns with our own values and beliefs on community support. A bright future?
Last month, GUILD has also partnered with SCL Education to launch the Guild College, aiming to help teenagers and young adults build career pathways in the esports industry, both in and outside of the UK.
Guild Esports and Subway partnership was announced back in early 2021 and a year ago Tom Sorrell from Billericay won the Guild FIFA Cup 22 which was presented by Subway. Subway also hopes that this new initiative will positively impact 1000+ school children in 2023.
