Snoop Dogg joins FaZe Clan’s board of director

Snoop Dogg, a prominent rapper and well-known hip hop artist, has joined perhaps the largest esports organization in the world. He will join Faze Clan’s board of directors and will also “co-create content for the clan.

Besides being known for his hip-hop music, this well-known rapper is also an enthusiastic gamer. Snoop Dogg has always been an avid gamer, and he even streams games like Madden on his Twitch account in his spare time. Gaming is, without a doubt, a significant part of his life, and it’s set to get even bigger.

Snoop Dogg will join Faze Clan’s board of directors after the company goes public later this year, and will also “co-create content, participate in key business initiatives, and launch merchandise with the brand” as a member of the roster. This means he’ll be producing content as well as helping make decisions within the organization.

Snoop’s gaming reputation is well-established. He made an impression on Terry Crews at EA’s Battlefield 1 Livestream in 2016, started his own esports league, and streams games on Twitch. But, one more reason he was interested in collaborating with FaZe was their link to a younger audience. Dogg credited his son Cordell Broadus for introducing him to the organization

“The youth identifies with their brand and that’s something my son Cordell knew, which is why he brought us together.” Snoop Dogg added.

Snoop Dogg’s joining FaZe Clan has been a long time coming, Kai Henry, the company’s Chief Strategy Officer.

Another massive collaboration by the Gigantic Esports Org

Snoop isn’t the only prominent name to join FaZe Clan recently; the group also collaborated with a  list that includes LeBron “FaZe Bronny” James Jr, Lil Yachty, and NFL star Kyler Murray. FaZe has been steadily growing in popularity over the last decade. The organization has made massive partnerships with big companies like DC Comics and McDonald’s.

It’s unclear how prominent Snoop Dogg’s presence will be in the FaZe Clan’s work, but he appears to be involved in a significant way. Given that he’s already live streaming on his own time, it’s safe to assume that he’ll be actively contributing to the FaZe Clan and more collaboration with the FaZe member can be seen in the future.
