As we mentioned, Warzone 2 is finally bringing back the long-awaited and long-awaited Resurgence mode for Season 2, which kicks off next February 15. A few hours ago, the franchise revealed a new map intended for this mode called Ashika Island, and it seems that one of the POI of this map is similar to the Shipment classic map.
The new respawn map is called “Ashika Island” and will be available to play starting February 15 with the Season 2 update. In addition to offering several points of interest, Call of Duty has just published on its blog an article showing something exciting for fans of the multiplayer mode.

Shipment will be part of Ashika Island
Looking at the details released by Activision and the screenshots so far, the classic multiplayer map, Shipment, will presumably be part of a POI on Ashika Island.
According to the information posted on the Call of Duty blog, the Shipment map will be part of the Shipwreck POI. While Activision has not officially confirmed this, the images we have observed from the video they have posted look very similar to Shipment’s design from the franchise.
Because Shipwreck features different POIs, it will be fascinating to see how these fights play out now in the arena. Specifically, what the Call of Duty blog says regarding the Ashika Island POI is:
“At the base of the rocky cliffs are the empty containers from the two tankers that ran aground nearby. The local haulers have arranged the containers in a familiar and pleasing pattern…”.
Shipwreck Location
If we go by the exact location of the Shipwreck on the tactical map of Ashika Island, the POI in question is in the upper right corner of the map. With two freighters crashing into the coastal area of the island. This tells us that it will be a big place to fight and have lots of things to explore.
All the containers that used to carry the ships are now scattered all over the coast, making it an exciting place for players to engage in battles. Likewise, get to know the different POIs that the Shipwreck area has:
- Clifftop Demolition
- Lookout Point and Gas Station
- Beached Cargo Tanker
- Beached Cargo Tanker
- Containers
According to Call of Duty’s official Tweet, Warzone 2’s new resurgence map, Ashika Island, will also be playable in the game’s DMZ mode. In addition, some massive changes are coming to the extraction style mode.
With the increase in base movement speed and the change in loot mechanics, some massive quality-of-life improvements for game players will also be coming to Warzone 2.
