Esports organization FunPlus Phoenx (FPX) have had a big week, with the brand having announced a significant rebrand, as well as the news that they will be entering the CS:GO scene, following the acquirement of the GODSENT team.

The FunPlus Phoenix rebrand will see the organization make changes to its logos, with the new design being far simpler and modern. The former logo featured a red phoenix with the FPX letters being displayed across it. However, the new logo features red FPX letters, holding a phoenix.

How the Rebrand Has Impacted FunPlus Phoenix

The new branding already features on the official FunPlus Phoenix website and social media pages, with the organization having followed in the footsteps of the likes of Cloud9 and Mad Lions in rebranding. FPX are perhaps best known for their success at the 2019 League of Legends World Championship, however they will undoubtedly be hoping that their rebrand can help them in expanding on a global level.

What FPX Have Had to Say on the News

FPX seemingly deemed the rebrand as a good time to announce the news that they would be entering the CS:GO scene. While the acquisition of the GODSENT team has not been made official, FunPlus Phoenix CS:GO and VALORANT general manager, Petar Markovic, had the following to say in response to the latest rumours:

“We at FPX have been in deep talks with GODSENT in the past several months regarding the acquirement of their CSGO roster. The mutual agreement has finally been made, and right now we are waiting for the players to review and eventually sign their contracts.”

Initial rumours surrounding FPX’s move into CS:GO seemingly came about from a fan investigation, with Rush B Media founder, Ryan, having shared the discovery on his social media pages. It would certainly not come as a surprise should FPX confirm the purchase of the GODSENT team, who have achieved good levels of success in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive of late.
