Sentinels VALORANT player SicK arrested for criminal trespassing

fragster Maria 7. March 2023

Hunter “SicK” Mims, a professional VALORANT player for the Sentinels, was arrested on March 4 in Texas for breaking.

SicK has been incarcerated in the Collin County Jail in Dallas, Texas, for several days and has yet to be released. The 24-year-old, the sixth player on the North American team, traded CS:GO to VALORANT in 2020 to play for Sentinels.

The player traveled, along with the rest of his teammates, to São Paulo, Brazil, to participate in the VCT LOCK/IN; however, he did not participate in the match against Fnatic because all his teammates were in perfect condition to compete.

With the news of SicK’s arrest, many fans are curious to know what the player should have done after his return from Brazil, which led to his arrest.

Read on, and we’ll tell you all the details about SicK’s arrest.

Why was Hunter “SicK” Mims arrested?

SicK was arrested after an incident at a Ferrari dealership in Texas. This information was posted on his Twitter account, but shortly after, it was removed. Allegedly the player refused to leave the dealership after being asked to do so.

So the dealership asked the police for help with this situation; according to the Collin County Jail inmate log, Mims was arrested for trespassing.

He is out on $5.000 bail and charged with a Class B misdemeanor. The Law Office of Andrew Williams claims that SicK may face a $2.000 fine or a 180-day prison term.

There are some rumors that SicK has been having personal problems recently. In addition, we know he has suffered from mental health issues in the past. As a result, in May 2022, he was removed from the Sentinels’ active roster as he could not play due to deteriorating health.

Since then, Mims has worked as a reserve for the Sentinels and has spent most of his time streaming on Twitch rather than participating in competitive games.

Consequences of the SicK arrest

Following his release, Sentinels will temporarily suspend Mims until the completion of his training. Sentinels are reportedly in talks with former OpTic Gaming star Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen; to take Mims’ place as a replacement player in the VALORANT lineup, according to a recent report from Geddes.

Since Marved parted ways with OpTic in December after failing to land a spot in the franchise, the player has been absent from the pro scene. Recently, Cloud9 talked about replacing Yay with Marved, but they probably won’t be able to pay him what he’s asking for in salary.
