One of the most decorated teams in global Call of Duty: Mobile is now signing off.

Luminosity Gaming announced the disbandment of its CODM squad Friday after nearly two years.

“We’re incredibly thankful to the community for their support over the last two years, and to our players for their hard work and dedication. We’re wishing them all the best in the future,” LG said through their post on X (f/k/a Twitter).

At the time of the release, Kent “Banned” Nerves, Angel “Marshy” Gonzalez, Brian “Tectonic” Michel, Christian “Washy” Manalo, and Maiwand “Vague” Zai were listed as part of the roster. However, eagle-eyed netizens noticed Tectonic was not on LG’s “thank you” poster.

No reason was also released about their disbandment so far.

LG is one of the top performing teams in the CODM competitive scene, placing second in the 2022 World Championships and 3rd-4th in the 2023 World Championships.

The final roster was touted by many CODM commentators as a “super team” representing the proverbial “Western” world, or the NA regions. Vague, Tectonic and Marshy were part of the 2022 World Champion team Tribe Gaming.

At the time, Vague stated the infamous “West is the best, and East is ass” line – which quickly backfired the year after as LG was booted out of Finals contention by a resurgent Indian team, GodLike, in what would now be seen as LG’s final CODM Worlds appearance.

LG also dominated the regional CODM scene, winning most major tournaments in the NA region in 2023.
