After their success at the VCT Americas Kickoff, the Sentinels are making a surprising change to their roster. Though the core players remain the same, curry has been included in the roster as a substitute.

Curry Joins As Substitute

Rahul “curry” Nemani began his Valorant career playing for T1 from 2021 to 2022. He was then picked up by Cloud9, where he was benched and brought back as a stand-in. Unfortunately, he could not meet the expected results with the team and eventually left.

Nemani is known as a “ranked demon.” He would always grind ratings on his live stream and has reached rank 1 in the North American and Asian regions. During his last international event with Cloud9, Red Bull Home Ground #4, curry played Killjoy and Viper.

However, fans should settle down, as this change isn’t as hyped as everyone expected. Curry has only joined the Sentinels as a substitute. In the announcement video on his YouTube channel, the 21-year-old is not planning to fly to Madrid with the Sentinels team for Masters but will keep himself in shape in case a team member cannot make it.

pANcada Gets A Good Ending

Following the addition of curry, world champion Bryan “pANcada” Luna, who has been on the Sentinels bench for the longest time, will finally be released from the roster. Fans have criticized Sentinels for doing the Brazilian dirty, buying him out from LOUD, and ending up not letting him play tournaments at all.

Luna expressed dissatisfaction with being unable to play numerous times in his live stream, and his fans have been unhappy with the Sentinels management. Though we didn’t reach a conclusion where pANcada plays for Sentinels, the organization has at least made things right, putting him on the transfer list with no buyout. Being able to get pANcada with no additional fees will make the process much easier for the Controller.

The 24-year-old was not informed earlier about the news, but appreciates the team’s gesture:

“As you saw, Sentinels put me on the market so I could join another team and receive new proposals.

My future is uncertain at the moment, I had decided to remain on the team’s bench to treat some health problems, but I was caught as much by surprise as you were with this announcement.

See you soon when I have more updates.”

The community is delighted with this news, as pANcada could have been stuck in the same situation as Evil Geniuses, where the players were “jailed” under their contracts. The timing of his release is perfect for pANcada, as teams are beginning to make roster changes and regroup after failures at the VCT Americas Kickoff.
