The reigning VALORANT Challengers Japan champions SCARZ have been invited to participate in the first event of the VCT offseason, the Red Bull Home Ground. As a result, the team that came very close to punching their ticket to VCT 2024 and 2025 at the VCT Ascension will play against some of the best teams in the world at this tournament.

On the other hand, it is also worth mentioning that this is a golden opportunity for SCARZ players to showcase themselves to some VCT Pacific teams that will most likely change their lineup.

Red Bull Gaming announces SCARZ as one of the teams invited to the Red Bull Home Ground

Through a post on its official Twitter account, Red Bull Gaming announced that SCARZ is one of the teams invited to play at the Red Bull Home Ground. This is the first tournament to be played in the 2023 VCT offseason, so there is no doubt that we will have many emotions assured.

SCARZ won the VALORANT Challengers Japan Round 2, and, as a result, they got their ticket to contest the VCT Ascension 2023, where a quota for the VCT for the next two seasons was at stake. However, the team could not complete its mission, losing in the grand final against Bleed Esports.

Similarly, this invitation to the Red Bull Home Ground can serve as a springboard for SCARZ players. The two Japanese teams in the VCT may change their lineups heading into VCT 2024. As a result, the SCARZ boys must show their full potential to capture the attention of some of them. However, it may also be possible that other teams, such as 100 Thieves and Cloud9, will also have some interest, as we know that they will also make changes to their lineups.

Japanese teams that would make changes to their lineups

DetonatioN FocusMe and ZETA DIVISION could drastically change their VALORANT lineups heading into VCT 2024, as they had a disappointing season. ZETA DIVISION did not have a good 2023 overall, but they did get their ticket to the VALORANT Champions 2023 at the LCQ. However, they lost to Fnatic and NRG in the first two games and were sent home.

On the other hand, DFM performed much worse, as they failed to win a single game in the whole season. Because of this, it is obvious that the team will want to turn their situation around, and, logically, they will make changes in their lineups. Several weeks ago, both teams even opened open tryouts to look for new players for next season.

Now we can only wait and see how SCARZ performs against very powerful teams to find out what the fate of their players will be.
