Movements continue in the VCT competitive scene as teams are in their 2023 offseason. This time, Team Vitality has confirmed the signing of Saif “Sayf” Jibraeel for the upcoming VALORANT Champions Tour season.

After having a disappointing, turbulent, and, above all, tragic year, Team Vitality has decided to give a new air to its squad for the VCT 2024. With the signing of Sayf, the team completes a renewal of its lineup by adding one of the best Duelists on the VALORANT competitive scene.

This is great news for Team Vitality and Sayf, as they can now row together in the same direction with the mission to take the organization to the top, both in the VCT EMEA League and in international tournaments.

Team Vitality announces the signing of Sayf

Through a post on its Twitter/X account, Team Vitality confirmed the signing of Saif “Sayf” Jibraeel ahead of the upcoming VCT season.

As we note, the organization mentions that they gained “Experience, Firepower and Talent” with the signing of Sayf, so we can see that the organization is excited about this signing. Also, this marks Sayf’s departure from Team Liquid, a team he helped climb to the top of EMEA in the 2023 season. Finally, it was reported that Say signs with Team Vitality for two years.

Now, with Sayf’s signing to Team Vitality, the team’s roster heading into VCT 2024 looks as follows:

  • Jokūbas “ceNder” Labutis
  • Tomas “Destrian” Linikas
  • Kimmie “Kicks” Laasner
  • Emil “runneR” Trajkovski
  • Sayf
  • Salah Barakat – Head Coach

Sayf and Kicks are under contract in Vigor with Team Vitality until the end of 2025, while the other players in the lineup have only one-year contracts.

A very important addition to Team Vitality

Undoubtedly, Team Vitality gains a lot by adding Sayf for the 2024 VCT. Let’s remember that the Bees are coming from a complicated season, as not only were they very close to getting their place to the VALORANT Champions 2023, but both the organization and the whole VALORANT community were in shock after the tragic, sudden, and terrible death of Karel “Twisten” Ašenbrener.

After this news, Team Vitality, with their spirits down, decided to end their season several months ago and did not even want to play the VCT LCQ EMEA.

However, if this new Team Vitality lineup manages to have great cohesion, the addition of Sayf can be a great success for them. The Swede is considered one of the best players in EMEA at the moment.
