The first tournament of the second semester of 2023 has ended, the BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2023, and we already know the six teams present at the Fall Finals. However, on the last day of the tournament, we had two spectacular matches that left us with the last two qualifiers, Team Vitality and NaVi.

On the part of Team Vitality, we have that they went through the steamroller with BIG and achieved a solid 2-0 victory. Meanwhile, NaVi showed exceptional play to beat G2 Esports, thus sealing their ticket to the BLAST Premier Fall Finals.

If we talk about disappointments in this tournament, there is no doubt that G2 Esports and Team Liquid are the main ones since everything pointed to the fact that they could qualify even in the Group Stage. However, they failed to beat FaZe in Group C, and then, in the Play-In Phase, they lost in Round 2 to NaVi (G2) and Astralis (Liquid). As a result, these two teams will miss the Fall Finals 2023.

Now, without further ado, let’s see what happened on the last day of the BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2023.

Team Vitality crush BIG 2-0

The day’s first match left us with a crushing victory of Team Vitality over BIG by 2-0. It was unlikely that Vitality would seek to qualify for the Play-In Phase, but they were surprised in the Group A Final by NiP and had no choice but to play for their lives in this phase. However, they showed exceptional play in this series and always crushed BIG.

It all started in Anubis, BIG’s map pick, where we saw a Team Vitality somewhat bewildered in the first half, so much so that they even lost by a partial score of 7-8. However, at the change of sides, Emil “Magisk” Reif and Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut woke their team to sweep BIG and take the victory by 16-11.

Then, things changed radically on the second map, Inferno, as Team Vitality started extremely strong to take a 10-5 partial victory on the T-side. Then, when the sides changed, everything was much easier, and they managed to take a comfortable 16-8 victory to seal their ticket to the BLAST Premier Fall Finals 2023.

NaVi and G2 Esports give us a spectacular BO3

Undoubtedly, this clash of titans was one to look forward to and did not disappoint. NaVi and G2 Esports pulled out all the stops for this victory and, consequently, the qualification to the Fall Finals. However, NaVi’s new lineup took the victory with a solid 2-0 score.

It all started in Inferno, the map pick of G2 Esports, where NaVi had a phenomenal display in the first part by all lineup members and managed to take a comfortable partial victory by 10-5. Then, at the change of sides, G2 Esports woke up and were 12-12 on the scoreboard. However, NaVi’s offense began to spot the holes in G2’s defense, and they managed to win the remaining four rounds to take the 16-14 victory.

In the second map, Mirage, everything was very different, as we had a much more balanced match that was much more exciting. G2 Esports struck first by taking a partial victory in the first half by 8-7. Then, when the sides changed, NaVi’s defense was relentless, and they managed to win eight of nine rounds to take a 15-12 lead. Finally, G2 Esports could not tie the score and fell by 14-16.
