One of the best players (or the best for many) in CS:GO history, Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyljev, expressed his desire to play in next year’s Sidemen Charity Soccer Match. Moreover, the Ukrainian AWPer wants to prove that his foot shots to a net are just as accurate as his AWP shots in Counter-Strike.

This would not be the first time s1mple would be part of a charity event. Let’s remember that a few months ago, he organized, together with NaVi, a money collection to help people affected by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

S1mple expresses its desire to participate in the Sidemen Charity Soccer Match

Last September 11, s1mple shared on his social networks his desire to play in the next edition of the Sidemen Charity Soccer Match.

In the 2023 edition of the Sidemen Charity Match that took place a few days ago, several content creators, such as xQc, Mr. Beast, IShowSpeed, and Kai Cenat, played under the YouTube All-Stars banner and played against Sidemen FC.

While it is true that this match’s mission is for the fans’ enjoyment and, more importantly, to raise funds for charity, no doubt none would play the match to lose. However, the YouTube All-Stars team went down 8-5, as several content creators had no soccer skills. On the other hand, s1mple mentioned in his Tweet that he assures to score at least 2 goals if invited to the event.

On the other hand, it is also fair to mention that the 2023 edition of the Sidemen Charity Match was a success, reaching over 2.7M viewers and, according to Mr. Beast, raising over $3,000,000 for charity.

Pimp suggests a match between Team s1mple and Team pashaBiceps

It is not yet known who the guests will be for the 2024 edition of the Sidemen Charity Match; however, Jacob “Pimp” Winneche, popular content creator and former professional CS:GO player, suggested hosting a similar event between CS:GO players pitting Team s1mple and Team pashaBiceps.

Similarly, this is not the first time this has been suggested and even organized, as in 2017, SK Gaming and Virtus.pro did it. On that occasion, SK Gaming had Brazilians Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, Marcelo “coldzera” David, and Fernando “fer” Alvarenga. While on the VP side, we had Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas, Jarosław “pashaBiceps” Jarząbkowski, and Paweł “byali” Bieliński.

This match was won by SK Gaming 5-4, with help from Benjamin “Kane” Reichert, co-founder of the team, who is a former professional soccer player.
