RLCS World Championship 2023 to take place in Germany

Minutes before the grand final of the RLCS San Diego Major, Psyonix, the developer of Rocket League, announced that the RLCS World Championship 2023 would take place in Düsseldorf, Germany.

After two Major played on North American soil, the RLCS jumps the pond to organize the most important tournament in the Rocket League season in Europe. Düsseldorf is a very popular city in the west of Germany. This is a city extremely famous for everything that has to do with the fashion industry and the artistic environment it entails. It is also known worldwide as the fashion capital of the country. However, there are still no details about the exact venue for the RLCS World Championship.

In the announcement published by Rocket League Esports, we can see a video showing what would be the trophy that the champions of the RLCS World Championship will take. According to the information, this trophy is designed and made by the luxury jewelry brand Swarvoski.

This trophy presented is beautiful and is made of aquamarine crystals from this prestigious jewelry brand. Recall that, in December 2022, Psyonix announced a partnership agreement with Swarovski to design and create trophies and medals for the current season.

This announcement marks the return of the RLCS World Championship to the European continent, as the last time the RLCS hosted the event was in 2019 in Madrid, Spain, for RLCS Season 8.

RLCS World Championship 2023 – Details

As in previous seasons, in the RLCS World Championship 2023, we will have the best 24 teams fighting to lift the world champions trophy. In addition to that, the teams will fight for a share of the juicy prize pool amounting to $2,100,000.
