PGL reveals the open and closed qualifiers dates for CS2’s first Major

PGL has announced the schedules for the open and closed qualifiers of PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, which will take place in March next year.

The tournament organizer PGL has announced the official dates for both open and closed qualifiers for the Copenhagen CS2 Major RMR. The open qualifiers will begin on January 8 in Europe, America, and the Middle East, while the open qualifier for Asia is scheduled at a later date.

Europe will kick off the close qualifier on January 18, while the closed qualifier for North America, South America, Asia, and China will begin a day later on January 19. The Middle East will be the last to host the closed qualifier from January 26 to 28. Many fans have been speculating that the CS2 launch may get delayed by one or two months. However, given the timing of these qualifications, it appears that the game will be published long before 2024, giving the Counter-Strike teams plenty of time to prepare for the new edition.

The top teams from the closed qualifiers will then advance to the three RMRs in Europe, America, and Asia, which serve as the Major’s final qualifying events. The first RMR events will take place in Europe from February 14 to February 24, then in Asia from February 26 to February 29, and finally in the Americas from March 1 to March 4. PGL has already begun selling tickets for the Major, which will be held in front of a live audience at the Royal Arena, a location that can house up to 16,000 spectators and has previously played host to several BLAST Premier events.
