The Asian Valorant titans have demolished GUILD Esports in the first quarter-finals of Master Copenhagen. Saif Sayf Jibraeel gave his all in, recording a total of 43 kills and an average combat score of 291, the highest in the match. However, despite his best efforts, he was unable to close out the game as Paper Rex’s offensive playstyle was too strong for the rest of GUILD Esports to handle.

GUILD vs Paper Rex-Match Summary

Paper Rex came out firing on Ascent, stunning GUILD on their own map choice. The team secured eight rounds while only dropping one to establish a gigantic 8-1 lead. The bloodbath was, however, stemmed by GUILD, winning three straight rounds to start the second half with a 4-8 disadvantage. It didn’t take Paper Rex long to thwart GUILD’s comeback attempts.

They secured five rounds in a row to turn the lopsided match into an astonishing victory. While Jing Jie Jinggg Wang put up a stellar performance, posting a K/D/A of 20/14/2 with an average damage per round of 206, Khalish “d4v41” Rusyaidee supported him throughout the game, recording 15 kills and an average combat score of 241.

On the second map, both sides engaged in an intense battle, fluctuating the scoreboard like a seesaw. After Paper Rex dominated the first few rounds and took a 3-0 advantage, Sayf, and the squad swiftly responded and took back the lead. The match was tied 6-6 going into the second after a few more rounds of back-and-forth action.

Both sides made heroic attempts to take the lead, with three players on each team recording more than 20 kills each, but none succeded as the match ended in a 12-12 deadlock, forcing overtime. To end the dramatic game and the series with a stunning win, Paper Rex handily claimed two additional rounds in overtime. Although GUILD put up a good fight, they couldn’t stand a chance against the formidable duo of f0rsakeN and d4v41.

Fnatic dominated FunPlus Pheonix

Fnatic took down FunPlus Phoenix in the second quarterfinals, clinching Icebox 13:10 and Haven 13:4. Nikita “Derke” Sirmitev has returned to the international stage with a magnificent performance after being forced to miss the first Masters event this year.
