In the most recent set of PCR tests at VCT 2022 Stage 2 Masters in Copenhagen, Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto, the famed fragger of the Paper Rex Valorant team, tested positive for COVID-19. If he feels well before the match, he can compete in PRX’s first match at Masters against GUILD Esports.
PRX’s star player f0rsakeN has tested positive in a recent PCR test conducted by Riot as a safety precaution against the spread of COVID-19. In an Instagram update, PRX said that f0rsakeN is doing well and just experiencing minor symptoms. The organization has isolated f0rsakeN for the safety of the other team members. Additionally, the organization is reportedly doing an excellent job of upholding its moral obligations by keeping f0rsakeN’s family informed about his condition.
“While we are always excited to compete, the health and safety of all players is paramount. We are working closely with Riot Games to ensure that our team remains eligible to participate in the event while still complying with the necessary precautions.” – PRX
f0rsakeN can still compete
According to Riot’s health policy, players will be obliged to compete from isolation facilities set up at the arena if they test positive for COVID-19 but feel well enough to participate in the tournament. In accordance with Riot’s protocol, f0rsakeN can participate in PRX’s inaugural match from isolation facilities separate from the rest of the team.

Other cases of COVID at VCT Masters Copenhagen
Although Paper Rex would be slightly at a disadvantage without his physical presence with the team, he isn’t the only player who tested positive for COVID-19 at Masters Copenhagen. Rodrigo “Onur” Dalmagro, Leviathan’s head coach, also tested positive on July 3. As a result of Riot’s health policies, he was not able to attend the competition in Copenhagen with the team.
Furthermore, Fnatic’s top player James “Mistic” Orfila got also infected upon arrival in Denmark on July 5. On July 12, he took another test, however, the results came back negative, allowing him to join the rest of the team during Fnatic’s opening match at Masters Copenhagen. The team will face FPX in the upper bracket quarterfinal match on July 14.
Meanwhile, PRX fans hope that their star player f0rsakeN will also make a speedy recovery since he is Paper Rex’s main duelist and his absence could be a huge blow for the team. The team will face Guild Esports in a best-of-three upper bracket quarterfinal match on July 15.
