Pablo joins Alliance

On the eve of what will be the start of the qualifiers for the next The International 12, Alliance manages to sign Axel “Pablo” Källman, coming from Team Bald Reborn, with the mission to have a stronger team and thus achieve the qualification to the maximum event of the competitive scene of Dota 2.

This move marks the return of Pablo to the Alliance lineup after six years, so this is a clear example of the saying, “The good son comes home.”. On the other hand, Team Bald Reborn is left without one of its fundamental pillars, so they will have to get an ideal replacement in the face of the Qualifiers.

Alliance announce the signing of Pablo

Through a post on their Twitter account, Alliance announced the signing of Axel “Pablo” Källman ahead of the regional qualifiers for The International 12.

In addition, the organization also announced its full lineup to contest these WEU regional qualifiers. There is no doubt that this move brings a lot of experience to the team since Pablo has been active in the Dota 2 competitive scene since 2015, so it’s eight years of competing at the highest level.

On the other hand, this signing marks Pablo’s return to Alliance since he last wore these colors in 2017 for three months. However, in 2015 he was a substitute for the team for several months, but he did not play a single game.

The 27-year-old Swede was part of Team Bald Reborn since the 2021 season, where he played with Steve “Xcalibur” Ye and Janne “Gorgc” Stefanovski, two popular content creators in the Dota 2 scene.

Pablo: from executioner to hero

Speaking a bit of life’s ironies, Pablo was part of the Team Bald Reborn team that eliminated Alliance in the race to qualify for The International 11. However, now he can dress up as a hero, as he can help his new organization qualify for The International 12.

Pablo’s signing only means that one of the team’s players would be sacrificed, and this time it was Remus “ponlo” Goh, who left the team just over a week ago. The change in Alliance’s lineup comes after a disappointing season, where they came very close to losing their place in the DPC Division II.

Now, Alliance’s future depends on the team’s preparation for the qualifiers to The International 12. The team dreams of playing in Seattle again at the end of the year to return to the top event in the competitive scene since 2019. On the other hand, the team will also play in BetBoom Dacha, a tournament that can serve as a preparation for the qualifiers.
