Ninjas In Pyjamas Eyeing Potential Replacements for VALORANT Pro Jady

If the latest rumours are to be believed, then Ninjas in Pyjamas could well be set to make changes to their VALORANT lineup. It is understood the the Swedish organization is looking into the possibility of replacing Yaroslav “Jady” Nikolaev, who joined the team back in December. This would be the latest in a long line of changes made by European VALORANT teams.

Ninjas in Pyjamas, including in-game leader Kevin “Ex6TenZ” Droolans, have been training without Jady of late, leading to speculation that a replacement has already been lined up. Jady had made a name for himself as one of the best young players in the region, having been signed following the departure of Saif “Sayf” Jibraeel and Niels “luckeRRR” Jasiek.
The current NiP VALORANT roster is made up by Emir “rhyme” Muminovic, Charles “CREA” Beauvois, Egor “chiwawa” Stepanyuk, Ex6TenZ and Jady. This could well change very quickly.

Why Jady’s Future Is On the Line

However, with the team having not reached the VALORANT Champions Tour Europe Stage 2: EMEA Challengers Playoffs last month, roster changes are perhaps not a surprise. Failing to qualify for this event means that NiP will miss out on the VCT Stage 2: Masters Reykjavik, which take place in Iceland from May 24.

Ninjas in Pyjamas suffered a costly defeat against Team BDS in the Challengers 2 quarte rfinals, who were themselves beaten by eventual runners-up, Team Liquid. At the beginning of the year, NiP had been one of the in-form teams. The team qualified for the Stage 1 Masters in March, alongside the likes of Alliance, Team Heretics and FunPlus Phoenix. They would eventually only manage a top six finish, following defeats at the hands of Group A rivals Acend and Heretics.

Which Other EU VALORANT Teams Could Make Roster Changes?

NiP look set to follow in the footsteps of both Team Liquid and Fnatic, who have also made roster changes of late. The Swede’s will come up against both teams over the coming weeks, with Alliance looking set to replace 21-year-old Thomas “kAdavra” Johner before then. Meanwhile, reports suggest that Acend, Heretics and G2 Esports could also make changes this month.
