MLBB: Burmese Ghouls reveal Games of the Future roster

The Burmese Ghouls look to make history by integrating its own hybrid Burmese-Filipino lineup for the 2024 Games of the Future MLBB tournament in Russia.

Among the players announced were roamer Kyaw “Blink” Thuya, Htet Linn Hlyan “Stitch” Aung who plays in the gold lane, midlaner Hein Arkar “Niko” Htet, and Filipino imports Kenneth “Saxa” Fedelin as jungler, and exp laner Gerald “Dlar” Trinchera.

Guiding the Ghouls is veteran MLBB coach Steven “Coach Dale” Vitug, alongside Assistant Coach Thet Lynn “LynnDaddy” Htut.

This is the first time the Ghouls will play with imports in their team, as well as the debut tournament for Saxa, Dlar and Coach Dale under the Burmese Ghouls banner.

In a statement posted on the Ghouls’ Facebook page, the team called the Games of the Future competition as the “toughest group challenge ahead.”

“We are ready to dominate the competition, but we need every ounce of your passion and energy to fuel our journey to victory. Join us as we embark on this epic adventure. Show your support, demonstrate your loyalty and let’s make history together,” the Ghouls said.

The Burmese Ghouls is no stranger to international competitions – having qualified for three M-series championships: M1 in 2019 where they placed 4th, M2 in 2020 where they were the runner-up, and M5 in 2023 where they ended at 7th-8th place. 

They are the only team from Myanmar and in the Mekong region to be represented in the Games of the Future 2024 tournament, which runs from February 26 to March 2, 2024. The said tilt will have a US$1 million prize pool for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament.
