The North American Valorant powerhouse team Sentinels is reportedly interested in signing Brazilian superstar Erick ‘aspas’ Santos to replace  Tyson ‘TenZ’ Ngo.

After Sentinels’ early exit from America’s Last Chance Qualifier, speculation has been rampant that TenZ will be removed from the Sentinels roster after 2023. According to recent reports, Sentinels has reportedly shown a serious interest in recruiting Aspas, widely regarded as the strongest Duelist from Brazil, and possibly even considering giving him a hefty contract.

The Brazillian has been an integral part of LOUD since February 2022, paving the way for the team’s success at Valorant Champions 2022 and finishing second at VCT Stage 1 Masters Reykjavik. Even though he has experienced personal struggles and had to take a brief break from professional play, the Brazillian still upholds his reputation as one of the most explosive players in the world.

Aspas’ contract with LOUD and TenZ’s contract with Sentinels both end in 2023, according to the VCT Global Contract Database, leaving both organizations open to prospective roster changes. Sentinels would receive a massive boost in their firepower from having Aspas on their roster as they strive to make roster revisions following a disappointing VCT season in which they failed to replicate their early-Valorant success.

Aspas is close friends with Gustavo “Sacy” Rossi and Bryan “pANcada” Luna, thus joining Sentinels would bring the Brazilian trio back together under a North American banner. Fans are eagerly awaiting formal statements from Sentinels regarding their lineups as these prospective roster shifts have the potential to impact the landscape of Valorant esports in the following season.

The new report makes aspas’s exit from LOUD more likely;

After placing second at VCT LOCK/IN 2023, LOUD seemed to be moving in the right direction despite losing their star duo Sacy and pANcada to Sentinels. During the VCT Masters Tokyo tournament, the seemingly unbeatable Brazilian team encountered unexpected defeat against Evil Geniuses and EDward Gaming, resulting in a 7th or 8th place finish in the event.

Following this, Valorant’s Insider reports said that aspas might be leaving LOUD due to some internal conflicts with the team. According to Esports insider Rod “Slasher” Breslau, aspas chose to remain in Los Angeles rather than return back to Brazil with the rest of the team to prepare for the forthcoming VALORANT Champions.

The Brazilian team will be playing in Group D, which is the most stacked group at the event, with high-profile teams such as DRX, NAVI, and Team Liquid. The team’s first series in Los Angeles will feature a replay of the VCT LOCK/IN semifinals against DRX.
