With the VCT NA Challengers less than a month away, many teams have already confirmed their respective rosters for the new season. While there are several well-known teams in the NA region, the main reference points for 2023 are G2, TSM, and V1.

New team, same goals

A few days ago, we learned through different reports that Marco Mereu, the COO of the famous North American team XSET, was forming a new Valorant team.

This was officially confirmed in the last few hours when Mereu announced his new organization, M80, along with his Valorant starting lineup, which will compete in the VCT NA Challengers 2023.

This squad is very well structured, as all players are top-level players in the Valorant competitive scene in the North American region.

Current M80 VALORANT roster:

  • Alexander “Zander” Dituri (IGL)
  • Daniel “eeiu” Vucenovic
  • Mohamed “johnqt” Amine Ouarid
  • Marc-Andre “NiSMO” Tayar
  • Gianfranco “koalanoob” Potestio
  • Gunter (Head Coach)

About the players

Zander is considered one of Valorant’s most talented IGLs. We remember him for his excellent performances in V1 after his former IGL, Vanity, left the team.

On the other hand, eeiu has a lot of competitive experience as he played alongside s0m, hazed, Etah, and tex in NRG. This team was considered among the best Valorant groups in the NA region. Eeiu also excelled in his role as an Operator in the region.

On the other hand, johnqt, NiSMO, and koalanoob, who came from being the mainstay of Ghost Gaming last season, helped their team to win different Tier 2 and Tier 3 tournaments within the VCT NA Challengers.

A young team with extensive experience

M80’s lineup has a lot of young talent with great experience within the Valorant competitive scene. This team will now take on Esports veterans such as Shahzam and Subroza and top-rated squads such as Sentinels and TSM.

This only makes us sure that the team has its sights set on a single goal at the end of the season to participate in the Liga de Ascenso and, subsequently, to obtain one of the coveted spots in the VCT Premier 2024 in the Americas.

Some VCT NA Challengers 2023 teams

The first Split of the NA VCT Challengers 2023 starts in January, specifically on January 1, according to the web portal liquidpedia.net.

Some of the teams that are confirmed for the first Split of the VCT Challengers 2023 are:

  • The Guard
  • TSM
  • G2 Esports
  • Version 1 (V1)
  • M80

This list will grow in the coming days, and we will probably see the team’s debut that, according to rumors, will be created by the famous YouTuber, Mr. Beast.

There is no doubt that this new M80 lineup is scary, as it has enough talent to go toe-to-toe with any of the VCT NA Challengers teams and the rest of the franchised units.
