DreamLeague S20 features 16 strong teams but some of them are a lot more skilled than others. Even at this competitive level, the difference between the strongest participants and the weakest is enormous.

Naturally, Western Europe has the best teams in the race, but China and Eastern Europe also have a few candidates that are worth mentioning.

Tundra Esports

Tundra have dominated Tour 3 of DPC 2023 and are about to end it with a perfect record. Such a performance can only lead us to one conclusion: they are now on par with the likes of Liquid and Gaming Gladiators and should be taken seriously at DreamLeague S20.

Most likely, Tundra will finish in the top four. Ideally, they will want to play in the Grand Final and get a direct invite to Riyadh Masters as a result. But even if they finish in the top four, their odds of going to that $15 million tournament are very high.

Gaimin Gladiators

So far, Gaimin Gladiators have been the team of the season. They won both Majors and proved repeatedly that they know exactly what they’re doing. This is not a team that does things at random and hopes for the best. They are methodical in their approach and have some of the world’s best players for every position.

Of course, it helps a lot that Quinn “Quinn” Callahan has decided to move to Europe and continue his Dota 2 career in this region. The vast experience he gained while competing for NA teams has served him well.

Team Liquid

Team Liquid may not be as strong as they seemed at the start of the season, but they continue to be one of the best teams in the game. Thanks to Michal “Nisha” Jankowski, this team has a great mind in the mid lane. And from there, the captain can decide what needs to be done each time to win the battle.

9Pandas

9Pandas proved at the recent Berlin Major that they are likely to become Eastern Europe’s strongest participant in all international competitions. However, we still need to see them competing with Alexey “Solo” Berezin as their captain. In Berlin, they used a stand-in and got third place.

Team Aster

Aster have Sumail “Sumail” Hassan, perhaps the best midlaner in the world at the moment. If he does his job correctly, the entire team will get excellent results. Regionally, Aster won their first five matches of Tour 3.
