Los Angeles to host VALORANT Champions 2023

The developers of the popular shooter, VALORANT, took advantage of the grand final stage between LOUD and Fnatic of the VCT LOCK//IN Sao Paulo 2023 to make some exciting announcements. Just before kicking off the grand final match, Riot announced the location of the next VALORANT Champions 2023: Los Angeles, CA.

Thus, the hometown of VALORANT’s new agent, Geeko, will host this year’s Champions.

While all fans arrived this Saturday very eager to meet the first champion of the franchise era in the VCT, Riot Games took the bold step to give more than that. The road to VALORANT Season 2023 is just beginning, and although there is still a long way to go before the world finals, we already know which destination to point out.

And that is, the city of celebrities, Los Angeles, will host a VALORANT world championship on the American continent for the first time.

Following this announcement by Riot, we can now fully confirm that America will crown the next VALORANT World Champion on its soil. Los Angeles becomes the third venue selected to host a VALORANT Champions since the game’s launch in 2020. As both Istanbul, Turkey, and Berlin, Germany, have done in the past, now Los Angeles will enter the history books of Riot Games’ tactical shooter.

Furthermore, after seeing the incredible community participation in the grand final between LOUD and Fnatic of the VCT LOCK//IN Sao Paulo 2023, there is no doubt that this will become one of the most important events in the esports scene of 2023.

The latter is not surprising at all, as the event played in 2020 was watched by more than 1.5 million viewers during the finals. So, this trend is expected to continue or even increase as it has.

The VALORANT Champions will bring together the 16 best teams in the world from North America, Brazil, Latin America, EMEA, and Asia. Unfortunately, there are not yet a number of confirmed slots for each region. Speaking specifically of the VALORANT Champions 2023 venues, we have two specific locations to note. As reported by Riot Games, almost everything is already organized for this event. The first phases of VALORANT Champions will be played at the Shrine Auditorium, while the Grand Final will be played at the KIA Forum.
