LoL: Quick Play to replace Blind Pick

One of League of Legends’ normal game modes, Blind Pick, will be replaced by Quick Play.

In Riot Games’ popular MOBA, League of Legends, like other multiplayer video games, has several modes for the community to enjoy and get out of the monotony of the classic ranked modes. These modes work for fun, practice, or to hang out with friends.

One of the most popular is ARAM, played in the Howling Abyss. On the other hand, we have different game modes, such as the classic ranked mode and normal matches, played in the popular Summoner’s Rift. Among the ranked modes, we find SoloQ and FlexQ, while in the normal modes, players can choose between draft mode and Blind Pick. However, that is until now, as the latter could soon be removed from rotation.

Quick Play comes to Summoner’s Rift

Riot Games, just like it did in VALORANT with the Swiftplay mode, intends to launch a full-time game mode called Quick Play. All this is done by Riot with the mission of capturing the players’ attention because it is no secret that there is not enough time to play a full game in many opportunities, so this type of mode is helpful for that.

Riot would be carrying out different experiments with Quick Play throughout the regions of the world. Undoubtedly, this quick mode will make players play a game of LoL violently in Summoner’s Rift.

Now, with the arrival of this new mode, there has to be one sacrificed, and that would be Blind Pick.

Quick Play Details

As announced by the rioters, the game mode will be released progressively in some regions. In addition, they point out that players will be able to choose their specific role before entering the game, and, in addition, they will prepare the champion they want to use. As a result, players will now not have to go through the champion selection stage, which undoubtedly annoys many players, especially beginners.

Skipping the pick+bans stage is a first for League of Legends. But, on the other hand, this also indicates that the teams will not be perfectly formed as they would be in a ranked or normal game. That is to say, nobody will know the team’s composition until the game starts.

If you play with friends, you can plan a game in all aspects, but if you queue alone, you must wait for anything.

When is this mode coming to my region?

Riot Games has habitually released League of Legends game modes progressively in different regions. No doubt, this serves them to gauge the reaction of the community little by little and the reception of the mode. So, if it is not yet available in your region, you must be patient and wait for Riot to decide to launch it there.
