Possible new Minnesota RØKKR lineup leaked

fragster 26. July 2023

In the last few hours, several reports have revealed that the Minnesota RØKKR are close to signing several players who were once part of the Boston Breach and Seattle Surge. In addition, it was also detailed that they would sign one of the best players in the Challengers scene in the U.S., which would make its debut as a professional in the CDL.

Remember that, in this offseason of the CDL, more than 75% of the teams released their entire roster to begin a renovation. This is undoubtedly a common occurrence in the COD scene, as those teams that do not succeed in a season tend to do a total rebuild. In the case of the RØKKR, we can mention that the team could not have a consistent level during the whole season, so this move was more than expected.

Leaked “new” RØKKR lineup

Currently, the Minnesota RØKKR are in the midst of a rebuild, and their goal is to get the best on the market to build a solid team for the upcoming CDL season.

Like many teams in the professional COD scene, the RØKKR decided to drop their entire lineup after the culmination of the previous season. They even dropped their Head Coach, Brian “Saintt” Baroska, after the team’s disappointing results.

Then, different reports highlighted that RØKKR would be very close to merging with G2 Esports.

The team has everything in order and a plan mapped out, so they are ready to start forming their squad for the upcoming season.

Talking specifically about the possible lineup of the RØKKKR for next season, we have different reports claiming that the following players would sign with Minnesota for next season:

  • Joseph “Owakening” Conley
  • Lamar “Accuracy” Abedi
  • Reece “Vivid” Drost
  • Thomas “Lynz” Gregorio

About the players

Several names may ring a bell if you regularly follow the Call of Duty League. For example, we start with Owakening, a former Boston Breach player, during the season that just ended. This player is an extremely talented fragger and was undoubtedly a mainstay of the Breach during this time.

On the other hand, we have Vivid, another well-known in the scene for being part of the Boston Breach squad. However, the player was benched shortly before the start of the 2023 CDL Championship.

Accuracy is an experienced player who holds the IGL role and played for the Seattle Surge for the past two seasons. Undoubtedly, his veteran and experience are critical to any lineup.

Finally, we have Lynz, the name you may not know from this list, but if you follow the Challengers scene in Europe, you will know who we are talking about. This outstanding French player has an average K/D of 1.21 for the entire 2023 season and, in addition, led his team to several important victories, including at the Toronto Open.

Indeed, this move is just rumored, but it will likely be confirmed in the next few hours.
