The 13th season goes into the next round with the League of Legends patch 13.1. Jax and Yuumi in particular are getting some serious nerfs.

The latest Patch 13.1 is coming out tomorrow, January 10, to usher in League of Legends Season 13 with the start of the new Ranked Split and the completion of all preseason changes. The first update this year will include Bruiser, Tank, and Yuumi nerfs. Furthermore, expect also a minor change to Jax.

Here’s everything you need to know about League of Legends Patch 13.1.

When is League of Legends Patch 13.1 coming?

League of Legends Patch 13.1 is expected to be released on Tuesday, January 10th. The patch will be released first on the oceanic servers, and later on the rest of the world servers. There will be a few hours of downtime when the patch launches and matchmaking queues will be taken offline about three hours beforehand.

All changes with the new patch

The big news of Patch 13.1, as the name suggests, is the start of League of Legends Season 13. After two months of the preseason, all changes will be finally made official when the new Ranked Split begins. These include top lane and jungle overhauls, as well as the new ranked system that splits the year into two parts. Players are now enticed to grind year-round instead of hitting their target rank and then quitting, with rewards now available every six months instead of just once a year.

The Jax Mid-Scope update

Jax was named next for a mid-scope update in late 2022, and Riot isn’t taking time to ship the changes to League of Legends. Jax has remained relatively unchanged since 2009, with Season 13’s changes set to be his biggest overhaul yet. While there will only be a “minor change,” it will still be quite a change to get used to. While his Q, E, the Counter Strike, and Leap Strike will all get minor changes, most of the adjustments can be found in his Ultimate. She has a new active function where his lantern deals extra damage.

Yuumi and Dr. Mundo nerfed

There will also be more nerfs for Yuumi to launch League of Legends Season 13 in Patch 13.1. She’s one of eight champions slated for nerfs, with Riot Games also taking on a number of tanks and bruisers after preseason’s item rework messed up the leaderboards. A major overhaul of Yuumi has already been confirmed by Riot, but she’s still set to get changes because “she’s still very heavily banned.”

Dr. Mundo is one of seven bruisers, or tanks, being nerfed in LoL Patch 13.1. More changes are likely to follow once the season kicks off.
