The Bug/Rock-type Pokemon, Kleavor, will debut in Pokemon Go during the upcoming Raid Day event, which is scheduled to take place on May 6.

Niantic is clearly seeking to regain the community’s trust after receiving harsh criticism over the past few weeks for making bad moves like nerfing the Remote Raid Pass. Following the announcements for Pokemon Go Fest 2023, the developer provided information about the upcoming Pokemon GO Raid Day, which will see the addition of Kleavor to the popular augmented reality game.

When exposed to Black Augurite in the main series games, Scyther evolves into Kleavor, a Bug/Rock-type. Kleavor has access to the special move Stone Axe from the Pokemon series, which inflicts damage and scatters splinters on the victim that continue to inflict damage over the course of several turns.

Kleavor will also be made available as a Shiny right after its launch for anyone who is fortunate enough to find one. Currently, the only way to find Kleavor in Pokemon Go is to participate in three-star raids since Scyther cannot currently evolve into Kleavor. The raid is slated for May 6, 2023, beginning at 11 a.m. local time and lasting until 2 p.m. local time.

Kleavor is the newest Pokémon to join the Hisuian Pokémon lineup.

This is the first time in almost a year that Pokemon Go has added a Hisuian Pokemon. Furthermore, this could be yet another sign that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will soon have Pokemon Home connectivity, since Pokemon Go will be one of only two ways to acquire Kleavor. Additional Pokemon from Pokemon Legends: Arceus that can currently be found in Pokemon Go include Overqwil, Sneasler, Voltorb, Electrode, Growlithe, Arcanine, Sneasel, Braviary, and Qwilfish.

The event will also feature a few bonuses that trainers can use to their advantage to capture Kleavor. When spinning Gym Photo Discs, players who are taking part in the Kleavor Raid Day will have the opportunity to obtain five more Raid Passes. Additionally, on May 6, the Remote Raid Pass cap will be raised to 10 Remote Raids per player for the entire day. Additionally, the bonus will raise the possibility of running into Shiny Kleavor.

Niantic also unveiled the May 2023 event schedule, which includes a preview of all that users of the Pokemon GO game may expect. The first event of the upcoming month, An Instinctive Hero, will probably center on the Team Instinct Leader, while the commander of Team Valor will be the focus of the A Valorous Hero event in May 2023.
