North American organization TSM has completed its League of Legends roster for the upcoming 2022 LCS, having signed Chinese duo Zhu “Keaiduo” Xiong and Wei “Shenyi” Zi-Jie, with the mid laner and support set to bring some fresh blood to the region. Despite the duo having relatively little experience in the professional LoL scene, TSM clearly felt that they have significant potential.

Keaiduo competed under the banner of ThunderTalk Gaming’s academy lineup, known as ThunderTalk Gaming Young, in 2021, with Shenyi’s rise to the top being along the same lines. Shenyi made his name at FunPlus Blaze between May 2020 and July 2021, before being promoted to substitute support for the FunPlus Phoenix as a result of his impressive displays.

Who Will Keaiduo and Shenyi Team Up With at TSM?

The newly signed players will compete alongside top laner “Huni”, jungler “Spica” and AD Carry “Tactical, in what looks like a good blend of youth and experience for TSM. It remains to be seen as to how things will pan out during the 2022 LCS season, with Huni and Spica having retained their roster places, unlike the rest of their 2021 lineup.

Tactical’s return to the fold was announced back in November, with the ADC having initially left the org in December 2019, when he joined the Team Liquid academy. The former Supernova pro did well enough to be promoted to their main lineup after just two months, demonstrating just why TSM were so keen to bring the 21-year-old back.

Why TSM’s Coaching Lineup is Also New for 2022

As well as players, we now also know how the TSM coaching setup will look for 2022, with the org having made an announcement in this area on Thursday too. Ex-Hong Kong Attitude Head Coach “Chawy” has joined the fold, where he will be assisted by Peter Zhang, Kayys and Haitham. The trio will act as TSM’s Head of Player Development, LCS Strategic Coach and Head of Data Science and Analytics, respectively, in what is another major transformation for the org.

Meanwhile, Gunaso will be in charge of the TSM Academy setup, with much work to be done in all areas ahead of the beginning of the 2022 LCS season. Lawrence Sze “Lost” Yuy Hui and Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage both left the org in November, both of whom joined at the end of 2020. The org will get up and running by competing at the LCS Lock In tournament, which gets underway on January 14.
