JimmyJam is banned from VALORANT

Recently a respected VALORANT streamer has been banned while playing at Riot Games HQ for “cheating”. JimmyJam has been banned from the game while playing a game of Swiftplay.

VALORANT’s anti-cheating technology

VALORANT developers have gone to great lengths to create technology that prevents cheaters from being able to stay in the game. That’s why they created Vanguard; this technology prevents cheaters from using hardware or software to hack the game.

Vanguard works effectively by detecting cheaters. Since its launch, this technology has had its critics and supporters. However, for this Vanguard to work perfectly in its early years, it required very powerful computers.

So many players were discouraged, as accessing the game was not easy. However, time proved the developers right about this anti-cheating system, and players accepted it was necessary.

Thanks to Vanguard, VALORANT servers hackers are out; however, it is not a perfect program.

JimmyJam is banned from VALORANT

JimmyJam and other streamers visited Riot HQ recently; however, the experience has not been very flattering for JimmyJam as he has been banned from the game.

When JimmyJam was visiting Riot Games’ general headquarters, the streamer posted on Twitter where he commented on his location and that he was playing Swift Play. However, a few minutes after that population JimmyJam’s VALORANT account was blocked.

Ahad, another streamer at Riot’s headquarters, made public a video where you can see JimmyJam’s screen with the message “You have been banned from playing VALORANT.” So that’s the message that appears to players who are caught cheating.

JimmyJam is banned without knowing what the cause is

As we said before JimmyJams has been banned from VALORANT, supposedly for cheating, or so it seemed from the message on his screen.

All streamers could see the scary message that appeared on the screen. VALORANT’s anti-cheating program has detected an alleged cheater.

In the video posted by Ahad, the streamer comments that JimmyJams was banned, and you can hear all the guys laughing about what happened to their partner.

A few moments after JimmyJams was banned, the guy wrote on his Twitter account that he had just been banned from the game while at Riot HQ. JimmyJams did not understand what the reason for this ban was. However, he commented in the video that 1 hour later, he would be unblocked from the game.

So far, it is unknown what was the reason that made the anti-cheating program ban JimmyJams. It could be because it was an unusual detection of a cheat, or the streamers were trying something new with Riot’s permission, and the program detected it as a cheat.
