The post-TI shuffle is in full swing and Southeast Asia is no exception. The region has seen multiple spectacular roster changes.

Players like Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon, Daryl “iceiceice” Koh, and Damien “kpii” Sau-jing were left without a team after they got kicked by their organizations. But others, such as Anuncha “Jabz” Jirawong, got a better deal and simply moved from one SEA team to another.

Talon Esports

Talon Esports is a very ambitious esports organization. It began in the trenches back in 2021 and worked its way up. In Tour 2, Talon Esports finished second in Division II and just several months later, they finished second in Division I. The team played at The International 11, but only managed to finish 17-18.

The reason why they finished among the last competitors is easy to understand: the team lacked leadership. The former players were not proper captains with deep knowledge of drafting and hero matchups. And that is why two players were kicked and the talented trio was kept.

With kpii and Brizio “Hyde” Budiana out of the roster, Talon had to pick two new players to replace them. One of them was Jabz. He was acquired from one of Talon Esports’ main rivals, Fnatic.

This player is extremely talented and has been a Dota 2 captain for quite a while. Because of that, he’s invaluable to the team. Talon might have considered the possibility of bringing in Tal “Fly” Aizik from Evil Geniuses for a second ride, but they probably felt like he wouldn’t be a good match for the team at this time.

With Jabz filling in the captain role, the rest of the team can focus on what they do best. In particular, Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon is one of the best carry players in the world. He was the first pub star to reach 12.000 MMR and his versatility with late-game carry heroes is phenomenal.

With Jabz as his new captain, 23savage will almost certainly shine. Talon’s roster has huge potential but nobody has managed to unlock it so far. Perhaps Jabz will be the man to do it.

About Jabz

Jabz is just 24 and he plays the position 3 role to perfection. He used to play for Team Faceless, Mineski, and Fnatic. In total, he spent around four years competing for Fnatic. At one point, the team kicked him, but it quickly became obvious that he was irreplaceable.

Jabz has vast experience as a captain and his future at Talon looks bright. We’ve yet to see who will replace him on Fnatic’s roster.
