Jabz and 23savage join Aurora

After Talon Esports decided to release its entire Dota 2 roster, it was only a matter of time until the best members of that roster found themselves another organization to compete for.

Both Jabz and 23savage are legendary players in the SEA region, and that makes it easy for them to find a good contract. And it seems that they were quite happy with their former teammates’ performance, because they decided to bring two of them to Aurora. The only new roster member is Armel, who came from Team Secret.

This is a very young roster with a lot of potential. 23savage is 21 years old, Armel is 23, Jabz is 25, and Q is 25. Only Oli is a bit older, being nearly 29.

At The International 12, Talon Esports finished 9^th – 12^th. However, they were good enough to start the playoffs in the upper bracket and got eliminated after running into Team Liquid and BetBoom, two of the strongest competitors in the tournament. Both of these teams finished 5^th – 6^th and were very close to finishing in the top 4.

About Jabz

Jabz is a very experienced captain who played one year for Mineski and more than four years for Fnatic before joining Talon Esports. This man is hard to replace in the SEA region because he’s one of the best at his role.

The high points of his career include a 5^th – 8^th place at The Kiev Major in 2017, victories at PGL Open Bucharest, Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018, and DOTA Summit 12, as well as many other top three finishes at big events such as DreamLeague S11, Lima Major 2023, and Riyadh Masters 2023.

About 23savage

23savage was the first Dota 2 player in the world to reach 12.000 and then 13.000 MMR. He breached the first barrier in March 2021 and the second barrier in December 2022.

Individually, few players are as skilled as he is. Because of that, any team that has him will do well if it also has a strong captain. Before Jabz joined Talon Esports, the team did not do very well despite having 23savage. But with Jabz, everything changed.

Aurora is not a well-known esports organization at the moment. And it’s actually quite strange for a Serbian org to sign an entire SEA Dota 2 roster. But if things go well, this could be their first top team in esports.
