Recently, we have seen how many experienced and veteran players have decided to step aside in different esports in search of new directions. One of these new paths chosen by many is content creation.

This is, without a doubt, one of the best ways for many players to face their retirement from the professional scene. They will not stop doing what they love, i.e., playing, but they will do it with a more comfortable and flexible schedule.

TSM signs Mande

This is the case of the EMEA ALGS Championship 2021 champion Mikkel “Mande” Hestbek, who signed up with the popular North American organization TSM as a content creator. This undoubtedly strengthens the Apex Legends division of this great organization, mainly because he is the only European streamer they have in their ranks.

This signing comes at a crucial time in the Apex Legends competitive scene. As we have noticed in recent weeks, many esports organizations are moving away from the competitive scene and Apex content creation. Now, Mande joins the TSM creator team, which consists of the following:

  • Colton “Viss” Visser
  • Mac “Albralelie” Beckwith
  • Hal “ShibuyaHAL” Shibuya
  • Dalton “Daltoosh” Heste
  • Janey
  • Crylix

About Mande

Mikkel “Mande” Hestbek is one of the most valued Apex players in esports history. There is no doubt that his best moment was spent playing for SCARZ, as it was with this organization that the player was able to win the ALGS EMEA Championship in 2021. Mande was with the organization between March 2021 and October 2022. After that, he became Alliance’s understudy in November of last season. It is worth noting that the 25-year-old Danish player was also part of North in 2019 and 2020.

In recent years, Mande has carved out a great career at Apex. On the other hand, it has also long offered exceptional results and clips on the competitive scene. Mande last participated in a major tournament at the end of 2022, at the ALGS Split One Pro League EMEA, where he finished in fifth place playing for Alliance.

The new content creator is close to reaching 400k followers on Twitch and averages over 5,000 viewers in recent months.

Mande captivates wherever you look

The Dane is not only a leading figure in Apex Legends for his skill with the mouse and keyboard. But also for his extraordinary personality in the streamings. As a result, entertaining is a fundamental part of his Apex streams.

This signing for a major organization like TSM, which invests heavily in the Apex scene, shows that Mande has a prominent future in content creation.

This is not to say that Mande is retiring from the professional Apex Legends scene. We still don’t know if he will attend any major tournaments or retire completely to dedicate himself 100% to content creation.
