Hylissang is very close to signing with Team Vitality for LEC 2024

After a somewhat inconsistent year playing with the MAD Lions in the LEC 2023, Zdravets “Hylissang” Galabov seems to have found a new home at Team Vitality, where he will prove he is still at his best.

Undoubtedly, any LEC team would like to have Hylissang’s services, as he is a player with enviable talent and experience. Furthermore, if this move is confirmed, Vitality will most likely make Hylissang the main asset of their squad for the upcoming LEC season.

Reports claim that Hylissang would have an agreement to sign with Team Vitality

According to a report by Brieuc Seeger for Sheep Esports, Hylissang would be very close to signing as Team Vitality’s new player for the 2024 LEC.

The Bulgarian Support has an enviable track record within the LEC, especially in the 5 years he played under the Fnatic banner. However, in 2023, he could not display his full potential and struggled to keep up with the performance of MAD Lions in the different Splits.

However, it is fair to mention that, in 2023, Hylissang and MAD Lions achieved a spectacular run by winning the LEC Spring 2023. We say spectacular because MAD Lions qualified for the Group Stage with a 3-6 record in eighth place in the table, i.e., the last spot for the next stage. However, the team reacted surprisingly, qualifying for the playoffs and defeating Team BDS 3-2 in the Grand Final.

Similarly, things changed in the Summer Split, as they finished in seventh place in the standings and, finally, in the LEC Season Finals 2023, they were third.

With such irregular results, we can say that MAD Lions did not have a regularity that would help them to give a good presentation in international tournaments. Even combining MSI and Worlds 2023, MAD Lions only managed to score one win, and that was against Team BDS.

Hylissang Can Help Team Vitality Next Season

While it is true that MAD Lions and Hylissang did not have a 100% successful season, no one can doubt that the Bulgarian’s talent and experience can be instrumental in any LEC team in 2024. Now, Team Vitality can use this to create an excellent squad that will allow them to fight to be at the top at the regional level.

Admittedly, Hylissang can become somewhat reckless or aggressive with his moves, considering he is Support. However, this can spearhead Vitality’s laners and offensive players to perform better in the upcoming season.

On the other hand, Team Vitality has put together squads full of superstars, but these have not worked at all. Therefore, they hope that with the arrival of Hylissang, they can have a more compact team that will help them achieve good results.
