Teamfight Tactics Set 11, Inkborn Fables is finally here and it brings a bunch of new mechanics and improvements to the game. Riot Games crafted this new set to give players something new and exciting to look forward to – adding new encounters, traits and adorable Little Legends to the mix.

This is our rundown of the biggest changes from TFT Patch 14.6 – the reworked portals, augments, and support item changes that will affect the Inkborn Fables meta.

New and Renamed Portals

(15)

Perhaps the most important change to Inkborn Fables is the inclusion of several new portals – each with their own gameplay mechanics and strategies. Among these new portals are:

  • Champions Conference: Find the perfect champion on your team at each stage.
  • Gold Subscription: Get a set amount of gold split between all players at each stage.
  • Gold Opener: Start the game with 7 gold.
  • Anvil Buffet: Everything drops as component anvils.
  • Wandering Vendors: Start with a Training Dummy with two Permanent Support items attached.
  • The Deadly Legends: Deal + 1 damage if you win combat.

Additionally, some of the older portals have been renamed to fit the Inkborn Fables theme: Golden Symphony is now Golden Gala, Prismatic Symphony is now Prismatic Party, and Crescendo is Ascending Augments.

Deleted Portals

(16)

New portals have been added, but some older ones have been disabled due to either being unpopular or aesthetically unrelated to new mechanics. These are Multi-Talented, Showtime, Training Dummy, Unit Accelerator, Augment Payout, Item Payout, Treasure Armory, and Loaded Carousels.

New Augments

(17)

Perhaps the most exciting addition to Inkborn Fables are the various new augments for the Silver, Gold, and Prismatic levels. These augments provide original gameplay mechanics and synergies allowing players to formulate complex strategies and adapt to the constantly changing battlefield.

Silver Augments:

  • Band of Thieves: Obtain a Thief’s Gloves.
  • Lunch Money: Earn gold for every damage you deal to enemy tacticians.
  • Branching Out: After a certain number of player combats, you will also receive a random emblem, an item reforger and more.
  • Exiles: Units that enter combat without any nearby allies gain a shield.
  • Featherweights: The champions of tier 1 and 2 have increased attack and move speed.
  • And many more!

Gold Augments:

  • Altruist Crest: Get an Altruist Emblem and a Riven.
  • Boiling Point (Porcelain): Porcelain units replenish mana on hit and have additional effects when boiling.
  • Built Different: Units without active traits gain health and attack speed.
  • Call to Adventure (Storyweaver): Takedowns also give Storyweaver Kayle permanent ability power and health.
  • Dragon’s Soul: Earn a Dragon’s Claw and get item components for healing done.
  • And many more!

Prismatic Augments:

  • Accomplice: Obtain a Support Thief’s Gloves and more gold.
  • At What Cost: Go straight to Level 6 – you don’t get to choose your other augments here.
  • Altruist Crown: Gain an Altruist Emblem, a Bloodthirster, and a Riven.
  • Arcanist Crown: Get an Arcanist Emblem, a Statikk Shiv and a Lux.
  • Ba-BOOM: Champions deal increased damage for a short duration on every other cast.
  • And many more!

Augments Removed

(18)

New augments are made available, but several older ones have been turned off to accommodate the new mechanics. These are all trait-linked augments from Remix Rumble, AFK, Binary Airdrop, Blood Money, Cutting Corners, and more.

Support Item Changes

(19)

In addition to the augment and portal updates, Riot Games has tweaked some of the support items in Inkborn Fables as well.

Needlessly Big Gem:

  • The gold generation mechanic has been disabled.
  • Damage Bonus after 15 seconds increased from 30% to 40%.

Portal: Zz’Rot:

  • The Voidspawn now appears during planning so players can choose where to place it.
  • Zz’Rot Portal is now a Unique item that can only be used once per player.
  • Voidspawn stage health and attack damage scaling are fixed.

Conclusion

Inkborn Fables ushers in a new era of Teamfight Tactics with tons of new content and mechanics to play around with. New portals, augments, and support items mean the meta is about to change, forcing players to reconsider their strategies and embracing the game’s dynamic nature.
