Riot Games has officially introduced HEARTSTEEL, its newest all-boy virtual group, who will perform their debut song at the upcoming League of Legends World Championship.

Riot Games has officially put a stop to the rumors surrounding League of Legends’ virtual boy band and revealed HEARTSTEEL, an all-new virtual band starring recreated versions of iconic champions. The newest all-boy virtual group includes six famous League of Legends Champions: Ezreal, Kayn, Aphelios, Yone, K’Sante, and Sett. Riot’s new boy band, introduced after a year of anticipation, will highlight the ongoing League of Legends World Championship (Worlds 2023).

HEARTSTEEL’s debut song will release soon

The first song from the virtual band is called Paranoia and it features collaborations with popular musicians from a variety of genres, including the main vocalist of Korean pop group EXO,  Baekhyun, and rapper Cal Scruby. BAEKHYUN’s prior work as a soloist includes three popular mini-albums, City Lights, Delight, and Bambi, as well as several independent singles and OSTs. Meanwhile, Cal Scruby is a Los Angeles-based rapper best recognized for his collaborations with major corporations such as the NFL, EA Sports, and Ciroc Vodka.

Other artists on the track include Taiwanese-American rapper ØZI, who rose to prominence with his debut album “ZI: The Album,” which received six nominations at the renowned Golden Melody Awards, the top honors in Mandarin music. The fourth member of the group, Tobi Lou, is a multi-talented musician who has made a huge effect on the contemporary music world with the release of his breakout track, “Buff Baby,” which drew him substantial recognition and positioned Lou as an artist to look out for.

Riot has included a diverse range of musicians from various genres to appeal to a wider audience. Two artists, who will represent Aphelios and Yone, should be announced soon, along with which champion each vocalist will represent. The song will be released globally on October 23rd, and fans can check out the music video on YouTube or listen to the single on all major streaming platforms.

All Champions featured in HEARTSTEEL:

  • Ezrel (Vocalist): Baekhyun
  • K’Sante(Co-leader, Vocalist): Tobi Lou
  • Kayn (Rapper, Instrumentalist): Cal Scruby,
  • Sett: (Co-leader, Rapper): ØZI
  • Aphelios(Instrumentalist, Songwriter):
  • Yone(Producer): To be announced

Riot brings HEARTSTEEL as the third music group to League of Legends, following the huge success of K-pop group (K/DA), heavy metal band Pentakill, and hip-hop group True Damage. The new LoL virtual band, like previous music initiatives in League of Legends history, is expected to have a skin line tied to it. HEARTSTEEL’s potential in-game skin line, like K/DA and TRUE DAMAGE before it, should reflect the champions engaged in the band.
