Hampus “hampus” Poser, one of the most prominent riflers in the Swedish CS:GO scene is ready to return to the competitive CS:GO scene with NiP after a six-month break.

Recall that at the end of January, Hampus decided to take an extended competitive break due to health issues. As a result, NiP had to play with Denmark’s Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke during this early part of the season. Now, with the likely return of Hampus, we must wait for the organization’s decision.

Hampus is ready to return to the CS:GO scene

After six months of inactivity, Hampus has declared it is ready to return to top-tier action in the CS:GO scene. However, according to a report published by HLTV a few hours ago, Hampus’ “imminent” return to the NiP lineup means that one of the players currently on the roster will have to step aside.

However, another possibility is also being handled because if the player and NiP do not reach an agreement quickly, Hampus would consider leaving the team.

Undoubtedly, a rifler of Hampus’s quality would be an invaluable asset to any top-level CS:GO team, be it in Europe, America, or wherever. NiP’s current predicament is challenging, though, as the squad hasn’t succeeded and might need to create a place for Hampus to rejoin the roster.

As we can see in the press release, Hampus’ agent states that the 24-year-old rifler is “more than ready” to return to the competitive scene. But, he did not inform whether it would be with NiP or he would move to a new home.

Hampus stays on the bench to take care of his health

As we mentioned, at the end of January, Hampus decided to leave for the NiP bench before the start of the CS:GO spring season. At that time, the 24-year-old Swedish rifler said he was experiencing health problems and needed a prolonged break from the competitive CS:GO scene. As a result, NiP had to sign k0nfig as a replacement for this first part of the season.

Hampus’ last official game was a few days before announcing his move to the team’s bench against BIG at the BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023. NiP could not show a good level in that tournament and even had many problems with consistency and performance after the addition of Danyyl “headtr1ck” Valitov.

Is Hampus staying at NiP?

After NiP’s disappointing results in recent months, there is no doubt that there is a good chance that Hampus will return to the team’s starting lineup to try to turn things around. However, the organization has not yet given any clues as to which player will be dropped or sacrificed.

On the other hand, both fans of the team and CS:GO in general are hoping that Hampus will return to action with his usual level of play. Moreover, everyone expects what will happen, as this player would be ideal in any other European lineup.
