Guild Esports, the organization known for being owned by English and European football legend David Beckham, makes its first foray into Valve’s shooter by announcing its first women’s CS:GO lineup.

Guild Esports has teams in FIFA, Rocket League, Fortnite, VALORANT, and CS:GO. However, this isn’t the first time the organization has announced a female team, as recall that Guild X’s VALORANT division competes in Game Changers.

However, this marks the first time the organization has decided to enter the competitive scene of one of the most popular games in esports history, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Guild Esports announces its all-female CS:GO lineup

On International Women’s Day today, March 8, 2023, Guild Esports has announced its all-female CS:GO team that will compete in the ESL Impact League Season 3, which also kicks off today. The lineup signed by Guild Esports competed under the name OUTCASTS in the ESL Impact League.

As we mentioned, this is the second female lineup introduced by David Beckham’s organization. For Guild X, their female division of VALORANT has been a success at the competitive level, and it is worth noting that it has been listed on AIM since its launch. On top of that, the Guild X girls won the VCT Game Changers EMEA on October 3, 2022.

A lot of experience in this team

Guild Esports now have extensive competitive experience in the CS:GO scene. Anna “Ann4” Laurinoviča, Thea “pullox” Evensen, and Marita “Minnie” Siljan Sørensen come from playing together under the GODSENT.fe banner. Kaia “KiKi” Holmen briefly interned at Ambush.fe before joining GODSENT and playing alongside pullox and Ann4.

Finally, the Guild Esports female lineup for this 2023 ESL Impact League season is as follows:

  • Kaia “KiKi” Holmen
  • Marita “Minnie” Sorensen
  • Thea “Pullox” Evensen
  • Linnea “Nea” Claesson
  • Anna “Ann4” Laurinoviča

This move by Guild represents the second organization to decide to foray into the ESL Impact League in the last few hours. Since G2 Esports announced its female lineup called G2 Goya last March 7.

The organization hopes that its entry into Valve’s shooter will contribute to the growth of the organization. In addition, they hope that this will be the basis for a new source of jobs from different fields within the organization.

KiKi, captain of Guild Esports’ CS:GO women’s lineup, said:

“We intend to compete at the highest levels of Counter-Strike and Guild is the perfect place to achieve this. With leading facilities, a high quality coaching staff and state-of-the-art equipment.”

On the other hand, Jasmine Skee, CEO of Guild Esports, said:

“This International Women’s Day, we are thrilled to launch a high-flying female team to spearhead our entry into the CS:GO arena.

With female participation growing rapidly in many other competitive sports such as football and rugby, we believe this is the right time to recruit top talent for CS:GO. It will allow Guild to grow its audience. Also, reach new demographics and continue to provide high-level opportunities for women in the eSports space.”
