Undoubtedly, G2 Esports wants to take over the entire competitive esports scene. However, with all the success they are reaping in recent months in their different divisions, they plan to do it in a big way by incorporating their third female squad.

This time, the European organization unveiled its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive female lineup called G2 Oya. G2 has been at the top of every tournament it has participated in as of late, and now it intends to do so with its women’s CS:GO team in the ESL Impact League Season 3.

G2 Oya reveals its CS:GO lineup

A few hours ago, European organization G2 Esports announced its all-female CS:GO lineup called G2 Oya. This new lineup will be commanded by Julia “Juliano” Kiran, current VALORANT Game Changers champion, who returns to CS:GO after two years of absence.

Juliano, the experienced and incredibly talented Swedish player, is teaming up again with her long-time friend and teammate, Zainab “zAAz” Turkie. Recall that the two played CS:GO together for several years before jumping to VALORANT and signing with XSET in 2021.

Juliano was one of the most veteran players on the scene and could boast a huge track record, but the women’s CS:GO scene was not at its best. Nevertheless, her success continued to grow at VALORANT after her stints at XSET, The Originals, and G2 Gozen, victories that have made her the most relevant female esports player of the moment. Nevertheless, Juliano returns to VALVE’s shooter after seeing how the female scene recovers level thanks to the ESL Impact circuit.

While zAAz was not part of the team’s starting lineup when G2 Gozen lifted the VALORANT Game Changers trophy in 2022, she celebrated alongside her friend on stage.

G2 Oya to be led by Juliano

The experienced Swedes of Juliano and zAAz will be joined by the team’s young up-and-comers:

  • Anastasiya “kr4sy” Khlobystina
  • Oleksandra “manka” Kruspe
  • Aleksandra “kyossa” Tychanska

This team, as we mentioned, will be playing in Group B of the ESL Impact League Season 3, which starts today, March 8. However, likely, they will also compete in different open qualifiers.

In the team’s official statement, Juliano said:

“The G2 Oya project is special because it is a new beginning. I return to my homeland, Counter-Strike, together with my duo zAAz.”

Undoubtedly, G2 Esports wants to be one of the benchmarks of women’s CS:GO, and Juliano’s return may be the end of Nigma Galaxy’s absolute dominance. Remember that the Galaxy girls have won all the trophies in the scene. All in all, the G2 OYA will consist of the following players:

  • Zainab “zAAz” Turkie
  • Julia “Juliano” Kiran
  • Anastasia “kr4sy” Khlobystina
  • Oleksandra “manka” Kruspe
  • Aleksandra “kyossa” Tychanska

Finally, it is still unclear how the organization will proceed concerning G2 Gozen if VALORANT division. With the switch (again) of Juliano to CS:GO, the VALORANT women’s team of G2 has a vacancy for the next Game Changers starting in April 2023.
