While it is true that the two EMEA slots for the VCT Champions 2023 were already defined prior to the Grand Final match, the two finalist teams had to play this series to define the VCT 2023 LCQ EMEA champion. As a result, the Spanish team, Giants, got an excellent 3-0 victory over NaVi to win the tournament.
With this, the VCT EMEA League 2023 officially concludes, and the teams that managed to qualify for the VALORANT Champions 2023 are the only ones with matches to play this season. On the other hand, this means that we will have to wait until the beginning of next year to be able to watch again KOI, Team Heretics, BBL Esports, KCorp, and the rest of the EMEA teams that did not get their ticket to the VCT Champions 2023.
As we mentioned, NaVi and Giants had already qualified for the last tournament of the season, thanks to being the finalists of the LCQ EMEA. However, they fought for the honor in this last tournament match, and Giants pulled out all the stops to win.
Let’s see what happened in this match between Giants and NaVi in the VCT 2023 LCQ EMEA final.
Giants apply a clean sweep against NaVi to win VCT 2023 LCQ EMEA
While this match represented absolutely nothing for either team, both NaVi and Giants were playing for honor and, more importantly, used this match as a preparation game for VCT Champions 2023. However, Giants came with all their arsenal available to apply an excellent clean sweep against NaVi and take the 3-0 victory.
The series was played at Bind, Lotus, and Haven.
Bind
It all started at Bind, the Giants map pick, where both teams showed a high level of play throughout. The first half ended with an even score of 6-6. Then, at the change of sides, both teams had their golden moment, as, NaVi started very strong, winning five of the first seven rounds, while Giants woke up to win seven of the remaining eight to take the victory by 13-11.

Lotus
On the second map, Lotus, Giants started with a bang taking a 7-5 partial first-half victory. Although it was thought that NaVi could put up much more of a fight as it was their map pick, it was quite the opposite, as Giants’ offense was phenomenal and, as a result, the Spanish squad took the victory by 13-7.

Haven
Finally, the teams moved to Haven, the third map of this BO5, where we observed again how the Spanish squad, led by Adolfo “Fit1nho” Gallego, took a partial victory in the first half by 7-5.
Then, at the change of sides, Giants were able to win the first four rounds to take an 11-5 lead. However, this woke up the NaVi offense, who won four consecutive rounds to return to the game by putting the scoreboard at 9-11. In the end, Giants won the two remaining rounds to take the 13-9 victory and claim the VCT 2023 LCQ EMEA championship.
