The career of a professional gamer is a dream job for many. Who wouldn’t want to be lifting shiny trophies while being celebrated for playing their favourite game? However, it’s no different from traditional sports, where only the best out of the best get to become superstars.

More often than not, becoming an esports athlete requires incredible amounts of hard work, grind, self-discipline and determination. And while there’s no universal guide on how to become a pro, what’s better than learning from the experiences of those at the top?

As part of Fragster’s visit to the recently concluded PGL Major Antwerp 2022, we asked some of the biggest CS:GO legends what are the most important character traits for aspiring esports athletes. Here’s what they think:
