Donk: New CIS prodigy discovered by Team Spirit

With all the hype surrounding the release of CS2, many teams are trying to build their squads solidly to start the new era of Valve’s shooter in the best possible way. One of the organizations that has been in charge of discovering young promises, Team Spirit, has done it again, and Danil “donk” Kryshkovets, only 16 years old, has shown great play in recent months.

Donk started the season in Team Spirit’s Academy team, where he was responsible for leading them to victory on several occasions. However, thanks to his excellent level of play, the organization decided to give him a chance in the main team, and since that moment, he has been the team’s main star.

In many cases, this tends to be very strange since he is a player who is only 16 years old and, undoubtedly, does not have enough experience. However, as with the Russian Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, Donk may become one of the best in the coming years.

Team Spirit boast of its discovery: donk

Team Spirit is a recurring team in Tier 2 tournaments and some of the most important Tier 1 tournaments, so they are clear that their lineup has to be prepared to fight against big and slightly smaller teams. However, since donk’s arrival to the Team Spirit lineup in July, the team has raised their level of play so much that they have beaten the likes of Bad New Eagles, MIBR, and Virtus.pro.

On the other hand, donk has 25 maps played with Team Spirit at the highest competitive level, and, in this time, he has only obtained a Rating lower than 1.11 once. This indicates that the player is in a great moment and that the organization can count on him.

In just a few weeks with Team Spirit’s main team, donk has an impressive Rating of 1.39, and although he has not yet faced the big teams at the moment, these statistics are really impressive.

Team Spirit and its Rebirth

There is no doubt that Team Spirit has several new faces in its CS:GO lineup, but so far this season, the team managed to win the CCT NE Series 6 in the last few days, and the team has its sights set on the World Finals to be played in 2024. In addition, it is also worth noting that Spirit defeated VP to send them to the Lower Bracket in the CCT Online Finals 2.

While it is true that in these tournaments, very few big teams participate, we can say that it is a very good sign that the team is sweeping all its rivals. Moreover, the fact that one of those rivals is a team as powerful and dangerous as Virtus.pro is worth mentioning.

After not getting the expected results in the first half of the season, Team Spirit decided to renew its lineup. It promoted donk, Artem “ArtFr0st” Kharitonov, and Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotia from Team Spirit Academy.

Now, it only remains to wait for the development and progression of this new lineup, as the fans of the team hope to see Team Spirit again in the playoffs of a Tier 1 tournament, as they did in the IEM Rio Major 2022 and in the PGL Major Antwerp.
