After 6 months in the VALORANT Game Changers competitive scene, FaZe Clan set aside its lineup to say goodbye completely.

In a somewhat unexpected move, FaZe Clan announced their departure from the VCT Game Changers scene after the season ended. The popular North American organization announced the signing of five girls to its GC lineup at the beginning of March 2023. However, after over 6 months, they are now saying goodbye, and the players become unrestricted free agents.

FaZe Clan drop VALORANT GC lineup

Through a statement on their official Twitter/X account, FaZe Clan announced their departure from the VCT Game Changers competitive scene after dropping their female lineup.

This means that Vannesa “panini” Emory, Madison “Maddie” Mann, Diane “di^” Tran, Jenifer “refinnej” Le, and Emma “sHMeaty” Choe are unrestricted free agents.

As we said then, this FaZe Clan lineup comprised former professional CS:GO players and some newcomers to the competitive esports scene.

FaZe’s female VALORANT lineup was unsuccessful during the 6 months they were on the scene, as they did not win a single trophy at this time. However, the girls managed to qualify for the Game Changers main event in Series 1 and Series 2.

Similarly, it is also worth mentioning that FaZe did not announce their departure from the scene, i.e., they have no intention of leaving the VCT Game Changers. However, the VALORANT division of the organization, both male and female, does not have any players signed at the moment.

FaZe Clan decided to drop its VALORANT men’s lineup in July, as the team failed to qualify for the VCT Ascension Americas 2023.

On the other hand, FaZe is not the only team without a VALORANT lineup in the Challengers League, as TSM also dropped their lineup after failing to reach their goal of playing the VCT Ascension in NA.

Future of the girls

The VCT GC scene continues in the coming weeks when the VALORANT Game Changers 2023 Series 3 will be played in NA. In addition, the girls will stick together in this tournament and play under the name “homeless,” as announced by their Head Coach, Robert “truo” Pham.

Now, it remains to wait if FaZe Clan will stay in the VALORANT competitive scene or step aside when the VCT offseason is underway.
