Tour 3 of Dota Pro Circuit 2023 finished in Western Europe and the results are very surprising.

Team Liquid barely finished 4th, Gaimin Gladiators lost twice, and Tundra Esports finished with a perfect record: 7 W – 0 L. One of the underdogs, Quest Esports, proved to be much stronger than everyone had anticipated and finished 3rd with 4 W – 3 L.

D1 Hustlers and Team Secret were relegated to Division II again. It seems that for the time being, WEU’s Division I is simply too strong for them to handle. Clement “Puppey” Ivanov will have to completely change his roster again if he wants to get better results in 2024. For him and his team, this year is pretty much over.

Of course, Secret will participate in the regional qualifiers for TI12, but the odds of success are extremely low. The only thing that could help would be a last-minute roster change.

Puppey could consider bringing some former superstars on board from around the world. Right now, plenty of big names are teamless and might be interested in the offer.

WEU Division I results

The closer we get to TI12, the more we see Tundra coming back to their former selves. Let’s not forget that they are the winners of The International 11 and their roster hasn’t changed since then. When you have a group of players that have been competing together for several years, the level of synergy is amazing.

Gaimin Gladiators, despite their reputation, had a rough Tour. We’ll have to see what they can do at the Bali Major. If they don’t get at least a top four result there, it’s clear that their best days are behind them.

Quest Esports, the new team of Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf, did surprisingly well in Tour 3 and will play at the Bali Major. Unfortunately for them, this is too little, too late. But they have excellent chances to qualify for The International 12 by winning the regional qualifier.

Team Liquid lost three matches in Tour 3 and their future is uncertain. At the start of the season, they were looking unbeatable. Now they’re just another strong team and could easily lose against a lot of other teams.

OG and Entity failed to qualify for the Bali Major but at least they retained their Division I spots. In the case of OG, some roster changes are needed to improve the team’s chances in 2024. OG will likely fail to qualify for TI12.
