In a recent Reddit post, Dota 2 players were praising YapzOr’s stream, saying that it’s very informative and fun to watch. Apparently, YapzOr is a good coach on top of being one of the best position 4 players to even touch the game.

He used to compete for Team Secret, but then became inactive in July 2022. And for the past 18 months, he hasn’t played in professional tournaments except from time to time and as a stand-in. Nobody knows for sure why he stepped down. All we know is that he suffers from an undisclosed illness.

About YapzOr’s playstyle

YapzOr is a famous Rubick player and he’s regarded as one of the greediest support players in the community, at least at the professional level. He used to take as much farm as he could even before IceFrog introduced the additional jungle camps in 2023.

Who knows? Perhaps YapzOr even influenced him to make this decision with his playstyle. Seeing just how powerful a mere support can become when he has enough items, and just how fun the game is to watch when that happens must have struck a chord.

Dota 2 has changed significantly over the years. Initially, support players had a rough time because they had to spend all of their gold on wards, couriers, and tangoes. Now it’s a completely different story. A support player will often have enough gold to buy himself a Blink Dagger relatively early into the game, and then contribute immensely to his team’s success.

YapzOr is extremely versatile, and his understanding of timings and power spikes is exceptional. That allows him to exploit any gap and stay near the top of the laderboard. He’s not exactly at Quinn’s level but he’s up there with the greatest. Being in the top 600 as a support player is not bad at all, especially for someone who’s been practically retired for 18 months.

One of the things that YapzOr does during his live streams is to give his audience an understanding of what is going on. If you’re an aspiring pro player, or someone who simply tries to improve at the game, hearing what a top player thinks while watching the action provides you with a free coaching session that can be very valuable

This is particularly useful for those who play position 4 and 5, because YapzOr regularly plays these roles.
