CS:GO player with best PRIME in history

Since the launch of CS:GO, we have witnessed several extremely talented players who have undoubtedly impressed us pleasantly. These players have left an indelible mark in the history books of our beloved CS:GO and, at this time when Valve’s shooter’s hours are numbered due to the launch of CS2, we can take a little trip to what has been the player with the best PRIME in the history of the game.

Many players have delighted us with an exceptional level of play, and, therefore, it can become somewhat complicated to determine which one had his best PRIME in the CS:GO competitive scene. Remember that PRIME is when the player is in his best form and helps his team succeed.

However, FACEIT, the popular platform that offers CS:GO competitive gaming services, took the liberty to select 12 players who are undoubtedly the TOP we have seen in the professional CS:GO scene.

Through a post on their Twitter account, FACEIT shared an image with 12 CS:GO legends for the community to share their thoughts regarding them and their PRIME in history.

As we can see, it isn’t very easy to decide between such popular and historical names as:

• Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund
• Kenny “kennyS” Schrub
• Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer Gustafsson
• Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz
• Marcelo “coldzera” David
• Nikola “NiKo” Kovač
• Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyljev
• Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut

They all had a mind-blowing PRIME throughout their careers in the CS:GO competitive scene. However, for many, it is not fair to say that s1mple is the GOAT of CS:GO. While the Ukrainian AWPer has dominated the CS:GO scene since 2016, many fans, a bit more of the old guard, think that olofmeister’s form in 2015 was mind-blowing and that kennyS was the best AWPer in the world before AWP was nerfed in that year.

Endless debate

This debate is, without a doubt, endless and will never reach a consensus, as everyone in the community has completely different opinions.

For those who don’t follow the game since its beginnings, it isn’t easy to place legends of the old guard like flusha, kennyS, GeT_RiGhT, and olofmeister at the top of this list. Moreover, this is understandable, as the level of ZywOo, s1mple, coldzera, and NiKo, may have eclipsed some of the mentioned legends.

However, for no one, it is a secret that the players who gave life to the game and helped its popularity increase were those who took many hits from 2011 to 2015, when the game was constantly evolving.

Finally, if we want to decant for any of these players, we could do it by dates or eras. Particularly, if I focus on the game’s early years, it is inevitable that I place kennyS and olofmeister on my list. However, if we go further back in the years, I undoubtedly start my list with dev1ce, s1mple, and ZywOo.

The rest of the players on the list have a mind-blowing level of play. However, we believe that in their PRIME, they do not reach the level of those just mentioned.
