Players from all countries come together to compete in tournaments and events worldwide. One such event is the Zero Build Cup, a Fortnite college tournament.

This month sees the return of the Fortnite Zero Build Cup for college students in the United States and Canada, where competitors will battle it out for the $50,000 prize purse.

We tell you all the details about the Fortnite Zero Build Cup, where you can watch it when it starts, and more.

Fortnite Zero Build Cup

The Collegiate Carball Association is going to hold a sizable collegiate Fortnite tournament before February comes to an end. Zero Build stars will get to show off all their skills this time.

The tournament aims to determine which team can survive the longest without building structures. This is an exceptional concept for a Fortnite tournament, something exciting to see.

Collegiate Fortnite is putting on a series of events that you won’t want to miss where they will be fighting for first place and a share of the $50.000 prize pool that is up for grabs.

In this new CCA Fortnite competition, you can see the best Zero Build trios in action later this month.

When is the Fortnite Zero Build Cup taking place?

Open qualifying rounds for the La Collegiate Carball Association Zero Build Trios event begin February 23. The grand final takes place on February 28. Players had the opportunity to register until February 19.

In this tournament, the best professional players are preparing to attend. Even so, only 33 teams from all the open will qualify. Therefore, players from NA-West can participate in the competition, although it will be played on NA-East servers.

Prize bag

The prize money for the Zero Build Cup 2023 is set at $50.000. This is a significant sum of money that will undoubtedly attract some of the best college players in the world.

The tournament prizes are distributed among the teams as follows:

  • 1st: $12.000
  • 2nd: $7.500
  • 3rd: $6.000
  • 4th: $4.500
  • 5th: $3.000
  • 6th: $2.500
  • 7th: $2.200
  • 8th: $1.800
  • 9th: $1.500
  • 10th: $1.200
  • 11th: $1.100
  • 12th: $1.000
  • 13th-15th: $900
  • 16th-20th: $600

The top 20 teams in the championship receive a share of the prize purse. This means that only 13 of the qualifying teams do not receive prizes. This differs slightly from the CCA Solo event in January, where only the top 50 players cashed out.

CCA provides more student opportunities by continuing to sponsor these collegiate tournaments with substantial prize pools.
