The hype generated by the arrival of CS2 is, without a doubt, extremely important in the Counter-Strike community, and two “forgotten” legends of the game are smashing the rankings in the Premier mode of their respective regions.

We are talking about Bulgarian AWPer Tsvetelin “CeRq” Dimitrov and American Vincent “Brehze” Cayonte, who were, until very recently, part of the Evil Geniuses lineup and currently have no team to compete with. However, this is not to say that their talent or skills have vanished; quite the contrary. CeRq and Brehze are at the top of the CS2 rankings in their respective regions in Premier mode.

There is no doubt that both are taking advantage of this time in their careers when they are not part of an organization to prepare for the transition to CS2. Moreover, this can serve them both well because while most professionals are still focused on CS:GO, they are exclusively dedicated to CS2, so they might have an advantage.

CeRq and Brehze are dominating CS2 Premier mode

As mentioned, CeRq and Brehze are taking advantage of their free time to dominate the CS2 Premier mode rankings in North America and Europe at will. First, CeRq is currently at the top of the rankings in the European region, while Brehze is among the top 4 in NA.

As we can see in the table above, the Bulgarian AWPer currently has a win rate of 84.87% and an incredible 101 wins in CS2 Premier mode. On the other hand, in the image below, we will note that Brehze is ranked fourth in the NA region at the time of writing, with 133 wins and a win rate of 88.08%.

While it is true that CS2 is still in its limited test, i.e., beta phase, it is worth mentioning that it is really strange that two players of the quality of Brehze and CeRq are giving their all to be at the top of the rankings in their respective regions. Brehze has been inactive since June, while CeRq hasn’t found a new home since EG released him in January.

CeRq and Brehze are 100% dedicated to CS2

As we mentioned, the fact that different CS:GO tournaments are still being played means that Tier 1 and 2 pro players are still fully focused on the old game. On the other hand, this does not mean that they are not playing the CS2 beta, as they have all done so and have shown it in their streams. Moreover, the only one who remains active in CS2 is Robin “ropz” Kool, the FaZe Clan rifler.

However, the fact that he is not part of an organization at the moment means that CeRq and Brehze are fully dedicated to CS2 to be in the best possible shape for the game’s official launch. It is not known whether these two players will be able to return to the highest competitive level in CS2. But it is no secret that they are trying to raise their level of play to master the new game fully.
