Can the new CS:GO generation in NA still be saved?

Veteran in-game leader Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz ripped the North American Counter-Strike scene to pieces on April 27th in a lengthy speech on the state of the scene.

The former Evil Geniuses player has analyzed the reasons behind the North American scene’s plight and says it’s at its lowest point since the mid-2010s. In a Twitlonger post this week, Stanislav pointed out the toxic egos and shocking professionalism that have driven the NA scene into a steady decline. What happened to player morale?

Capricious players spoil the scene

He has praised the players who represented NA in 2019, praised the “disciplined” nature of old teammates like Keith “NAF” Markovic, and shared details about past games that made the Rifler such a strong player. – He then went on to point out recent situations in which he claimed that up-and-coming talents were “completely canceling training because of their whims”. Additionally, the teamless veteran has observed that there are simply too many egos in the scene these days.

Above all, stanislaw has focused on an excuse that keeps coming up: the constant player rotations that overshadow the NA scene. Instead, he says that the stars can be blamed for not taking the chance to improve when they get the chance, which is one of the main problems. He also thinks that players usually ignore warnings and fail to develop.

Stanislaw wants to help the scene in NA

The ex-Evil Geniuses player opened up about his own shift in attitude in his Twitlonger. He has shared his goal of becoming more accessible and creating a scene with more than one NA roster to compete against the top teams around the world.

This explosive outburst comes shortly after his departure from the Evil Geniuses Black lineup on April 27th. The IGL had been at the helm of the ailing team for around eight months before being replaced by Jadan “HexT” Postma this week.

The IGL, who has won a trophy before, has not yet announced if it will join a new CS:GO roster or if it has other plans. We’ll just have to wait and see what his next move is.

Evil Geniuses were successful with stanislaw

The Evil Geniuses have achieved their greatest successes in CS:GO under the leadership of Stanislaw. The player and the rest of his team were signed after the 2019 StarLadder Berlin Major where they played under the NRG banner.
