After it was reported in the last hours that Erick “aspas” Santos would be very close to leaving LOUD after the VALORANT Champions 2023, rumors began circulating that the player would already have a destination for the next VCT season. According to reports, Aspas could join NRG for the 2024 VCT season.

While it is true that aspas and LOUD are currently preparing for the VALORANT Champions, rumors and reports do not stop, and there is no doubt that they are getting louder and louder. Moreover, these reports have not been confirmed or denied by any parties, so they could become a reality at the end of the VCT Champions 2023.

Let’s remember that aspas is considered a world star in the VALORANT competitive scene, and no doubt any team would be delighted to add him to their lineup. However, we will most likely have to wait for LOUD’s participation in VALORANT Champions to end to know the Brazilian’s future.

Aspas could join NRG for the 2024 season

As we mentioned, while VALORANT Champions has all the spotlight from the community, fans are in expectation of what might happen with aspas, one of the best VALORANT players in the world.

According to different reports in the last hours, if the Brazilian’s departure from LOUD is confirmed, his destination could be the North American organization NRG.

In the last hours, there was talk about a possible “rupture” in the LOUD lineup, which would explain the poor results obtained by the team at the VCT Masters Tokyo. Moreover, Aspas’ contract expires at the end of 2024, so he will enter unrestricted free agency and, no doubt, will have offers from all over the world.

A few days ago, Rod “Slasher” Breslau and Sean Gares, in a live broadcast, mentioned that aspas and LOUD would have severed all ties and that the Brazilian would leave the team at the end of the season.

According to the video, aspas has had problems with the rest of his teammates inside and outside the servers, so the team has not achieved the desired success recently. Let’s remember that LOUD arrived as a favorite for the VCT Masters Tokyo 2023, but they finished in eighth place after losing to Evil Geniuses and EDward Gaming.

However, aspas, individually speaking, is still at the top of the game, especially in his role as a duelist, so it is a fact that he will receive proposals from virtually all VALORANT Tier 1 teams worldwide.

Fact or fiction?

Likewise, these reports have also prompted other community members, specifically, Pujan “FNS” Mehta, NRG’s IGL, to give their opinions. In this instance, FNS shares a post saying, “Why do we just lie?”

As a result, many fans are beginning to question the validity of this news, as besides FNS, no one else has commented on it.

Finally, we must wait for VALORANT Champions 2023 to end and for both aspas and LOUD to announce something about it. If LOUD gets good results in the VCT Champions, they may solve the alleged “problems” between them, and the Brazilian will stay in the team. However, if this news is confirmed, only aspas will decide his future in the VALORANT competitive scene.
