The VALORANT Champions Tour 2023 season in its inaugural season with the franchise era is very close to its end, and we have different rumors surrounding one of the best players in the competitive scene in the world, Erick “aspas” Santos.

According to different reports, the Brazilian superstar would be very close to leaving his current team, LOUD, after the end of the VALORANT Champions 2023, that is, in a few weeks. In addition, these reports detail that Aspas would have had different problems with his teammates throughout the season.

Is LOUD broken?

It’s no secret that the title of best VALORANT team in the world could currently be contested between LOUD and Fnatic, as they are among the two strongest teams on the scene and have undoubtedly taken it upon themselves to dominate their respective regions. Fnatic comes from winning the LOCK//IN 2023 and the Masters Tokyo 2023, while LOUD won the VALORANT Champions 2022 trophy.

However, it’s not all happiness for these teams, as according to Rod “Slasher” Breslau and Sean Gares, LOUD could be completely broken at this point in the season. Also, a podcast posted on Gares’ account mentions that Aspas will most likely not play for LOUD for the upcoming VCT season.

According to Slasher, Aspas stayed in Los Angeles instead of traveling to Brazil to prepare for the upcoming VALORANT Champions 2023. In addition, it is also highlighted that Aspas would reportedly have issues (outside of the game) with the rest of the LOUD members. If this is confirmed, we have the answer to the team’s poor performance at the VCT Masters Tokyo, where they failed to reach the final stages.

About Aspas

There is no doubt that Aspas has been one of the fundamental pillars of LOUD since his signing with the team in February 2023. The Brazilian star is undoubtedly one of the best players in the world, and thanks to his talent, LOUD was able to win the VCT Champions 2022 and the VCT Americas League 2023. In addition, LOUD finished in second place in the VCT LOCK//IN Sao Paulo 2023.

On the other hand, Aspas led many of the statistics during the VCT Americas League, so we can be sure he tore the regional competition apart.

This is not the first time this rumor has come up

While it is true that Slasher mentioned the problem of Aspas and LOUD just a few hours ago, this news has been buzzing on social networks for several weeks.

Last July 2, content creator Noyn mentioned in a post that Aspas would leave LOUD after VALORANT Champions 2023. In addition, he also commented that the replacement would be Ilan “havoc” Eloy, who plays in the VALORANT Challengers scene in Brazil with The Union.

If this news is confirmed, we don’t think Aspas will last long without finding a new home since it’s no secret that all the organizations in the VALORANT competitive scene would be happy to have him in their lineup. In addition, it is also rumored that he could join Sentinels, as he maintains an excellent relationship with his two former teammates in LOUD, Gustavo “Sacy” Rossi and Bryan “pANcada” Luna. However, this is unlikely to happen, as SEN is an English-speaking team, so adding one more Brazilian to the roster would not make sense.
